If you do not already know, Top Thrill Dragster was the first roller coaster to top 400 ft. and was at the time (in 2003) the world's tallest and fastest continuous circuit roller coaster. Anywhere. I have ridden Top Thrill Dragster 4 times (2 being in the very front) and I must say that it is one of the most extreme rides that you could strap yourself onto! I have re-created Top Thrill Dragster for you using POV's, Pictures, Statistics, and, of course, my own memory. To make this one of the most exact replications of TTD on the site, I have downloaded the majority of the other NL replications, and found the errors and flaws in them. Then I made sure that mine did not have any of those flaws. One of the errors I found most often is that about 85-90 percent of every one of them uploaded had vertical spirals so pumpy that you could pump air through them! This is easy to fix. All you have to do is adjust the banking on your vertices in the spiral (3D mode works best) and then smoothen the track!
If you find any pumps in mine, please tell me. I didn't spot a single one.

Well I thought that this ride was probably the closest re-creation of TTD that I have seen. Yes it had minor flaws as some have alreday pointed out. But the majority (95%) of the ride was spot on. It was great speed. Great station objects. The launch was a little bit slower than the reall thing. The brakes were perfect. But the one major gripe that I have is that the turn around going from brakes to station is not that cureved. It does a 90 degree turn then straight....then another 90 degree turn into station. Other than that I loved it. Keep up the good work.
Note: Originality was rated as Accuracy, not originality.
Alright, well, this is the only TTD recreation I have ridden from this site, but have ridden some from other sites, and I must say that this is not the best. I don't know why, but it seems really hard to make a good TTD recreation. Looks easy, but the ride is so short and so famous that everyone rating knows the ride by heart and can notice the slightest faults. OK, maybe not everyone, but a good majority I'd say. I've ridden the ride well over 20 times and there are several faults, and even more small ones.
Fault one: Not heartlined. I know that you can't run it through AHG, but I think you CAN run a horizontal roll through AHG and then rotate it in the purg. Haven't tried this, but I don't see why it would be a problem.
Fault 2: Not enough leadins and leadouts from the hills and twists. If you ride from the back, you can notice a "snap" when the ride goes from flat to hilling, once it reaches vertical, and at the top, too. The same is true of the twists. Look for a snap in the track and try to adjust your banking accordingly.
Fault 3: the beginning of the launch was too gradual. It should immediately hit 1.5 g's, rather than yours, which seemed to get to that 1.5 g's relatively slowly.
Fault 4: Brakes were also too gradual; the train should be moving very slowly once it's off of the magnets.
Small fault 1: Wrong train colors. Next time, try and make cartextures from pics of the trains themselves. It would make for a more realistic experience.
Small fault 2: The station cross beams should be curved. I know it's hard to do, but I think you could do it with enough patience.
Small fault 3: The brake fins are not solid. This would definitely make the experience more realistic if you could fix that and make it so those are how they're supposed to be.
Small fault 4: you missed a few supports on the pullouts.
Small fault 5: your supports elsewhere could have used a few extra nodes here and there.
BT: Above average, but nothing special. Several flaws, which have already been mentioned.
Ad: Love this ride. 'nuff sed.
Ac: See Faults 1-4 and Small Faults 1-5.
Ride in the very back seat. You will see pumps. Also, Real's version of TTD doesn't have pumps. Still, pretty good job, I haven't ridden, or looked at it in detail, so I'm not going to give a rate. Seemed pretty good though.
*i rate critically on recreations
----------------------------
tech: well first of all, i assume that you rode my recreation of TTD...yeah yours blew it out of the park. alright, lets see, well im surprised, you have made in my opinion the best recreation of TTD on the site for NL. technically speaking, this coaster was good. the track length was nearly exact, off by .85 of a foot. There was very minor pumping. however, the 270 spiral is where i caught it. sitting in the back of the train ( last car, back seat) i spotted very very slight, barely noticeable even on 25%, small pumping. however, other things i noticed, some supporting on the tophat, the free nodes were not aligned, giving off some sloppy tubing. Some things i really liked was your simulated release of the pull chain. i liked the look, accurate. suggestions...you could have heartlined the track or ran it through elementary to get a glass smooth track. the trck was not glass smooth however but very smooth for using hand smoothing.
adr: i have ot ridden TTD, but this ride seemed like it would have been almost exact. what can i say...
orig: the station was good use of supports, as well as the drag tree. the length was the closest ive seen it. the shaping of the tophat was very precise as well. overall great work!
