It's been months since I uploaded a track. In fact, I have only one more totally completed track in NL 1. This is my first upload in NL2. I hope I did the upload correctly! This is a minetrain inspired by the various Big Thunder Mountain Railways at Disney parks. With the ability to create underground tunnels, I couldn't help but be interested in attempting this! This is actually my 3rd mine train, each allowing me to learn something about NL2 as I went. I've done a number of wooden coasters and one suspended as well. This is the best of the mine trains as far as scenery goes.
This ride kinda disappointed me - mostly because your wooden coasters in NL1 were so awesome - it just seemed a little plagued with technical issues.
The ride layout itself was great fun - loads of tunnels, lateral G's and was super long - just as a mine train should be. It gave great visuals when you were looking down into the twisted mess snaking its way through and round the terrain. Some of the drops were great and I enjoyed a lot of the shaping as it made good use of lateral forces.
I did take issue with other parts of the shaping however. It didn't feel like minetrain and often the transitions felt almost too smooth and gradual. There were some terrain errors that needed smoothing out and I didn't really get why you had brakes before the lift when they didn't seem to do much good. The ride felt as though it was lacking supportwise too - I know a lot of the ride was extremely close to the ground but you still need to have it connected to something sturdy!
Feel free to pm me for more comments on your rate [:
T: Track was smooth and very well paced. Great work incorporating the tunnels, terrain and landscaping. There were a few spots that needed more supports, like between the last Lift and tunnel. The Transfer track doesn't work. When you back the train off the Storage Track it stalls, you need to add Transfer Track between the 2 Switches and between the first Brake Run and first Switch Track and also select "Center on Section" on both brakes.
A: Adrenaline was good because of the fast pace and never knowing where you are.
U: What made this coaster unique was the amount of tunnels and use of terrain and landscaping.
R: The ride has a very realistic look and feel to it.
RV: The ride was fun and exciting, comfortable and deserves many repeat rides.
Overall, You did a great job on this coaster, especially for your first NL2 upload, thanks!
