is a small but intense B&M floorles. Being just less than 1000 meters long but having a footprint of only 60m x 120m it has several close-calls and chopping effects and strong forces.
With it??s simple but fun and small layout it perfectly fits for small parks. Additionally it has 4 trains, a fast lift and an exit station to maximize pph-value. Statistics
Height: 41,8 m Length: 871,0 m Speed: 96 km/h Ride Duration: app. 1 minute. Height Difference: 39,0 m Forces: vert.: +4,5g / - 0.5g lat.: +0,5g Inversions: 4 Footprint: 7200 m?? Trains: 4 each 7 cars
Please note that Red Devil, it??s supports and scenery is 100% hand-made so it will be not perfectly smooth. This coaster is made to be used as a standardized short B&M floorless that can be built multiple times. (just like Vekoma SLCs) It??s also my first attempt on a B&M floorless so feedback and tipps to improve myself is welcome
Technical Passed the basics. Trackwork was alright - this ride really really reminded me of the old NL days where people would create these really free flowing feeliing rides that didn't really conform to any style. I think you could've improved a couple of locations however - notably the turn in front of the station that snapped towards the end.Supports were somewhat lacking in places - the predrop certainly needed some additional supports as it looked very flimsy! The ride really lacked a setting if I'm honest. The rock ground texture showed a little bit of intent but more was needed. For instance when I think Devil I think mountains and lava!
Adrenaline I really enjoyed the ride - I think it set an early tempo and continued this throughout the ride. One of the helix's was a little slow round the top half of it - but generally the ride paced really well. It perhaps could have been longer as you did hit the final brakes with a fair bit of speed!I thought the layout was really fun, again touching on the old school NL rides just felt like you were creating what you wanted to create and I appreciate that!Forces were reasonable, perhaps a little low in some places- good lat control however.
Originality The layout was extremely original and I'll echo what I said in the adrenaline category - really just felt like you were creating something you wanted to without any boundaries.Scenery left a lot to be desired originality wise - wouldn't been nice to see you add to the scene.
Realism I think as a B&M - it sucked. The shaping needed a tonne of work to be "B&M". For instance the dive loop didn't bank earlier enough and I don't feel like it entered the element in a similar fashion. The helix's didn't feel right either - they were far too swoopy for a floorless - something I'd imagine on a wing-seat hyper perhaps but not a floorless. In general though your ride was realistic - just not B&M realistic.Scenery was okay, what was there worked and the track storage was a nice thing to have. The ride was certainly buildable I felt, although perhaps a little undersupported. It stayed within the realms of realism so marks for that.
