Big Thunder Mountain @ Disney Paris 2.0
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Please read carefully before riding...
YOU MUST USE THE F11 KEY TO STOP THE TRAIN LEAVING THE STATION IMEDIATLY!!! ONLY LAUNCH / PRESS F11 AGAIN WHEN THE SECOND TRAIN ENTERS THE STATION! THIS WILL ENSURE NO CRASHES OF TRAINS!
Second version
-------------------
This is the second version of BTM.
I, Zan_2003, have taken over the project from PYM,
as he is only going to supervise and say its ok,
I have to do the 3D and track work and scenry. (hope their ok)
A recreation...
----------------------
We both rode the real track thousands of times. That's a
family mine train, cool but with many roughs spots.
For No Limits, we made it smoother, as it gives
more fun on our machines. If I can defend one
point for this track, it is about its accuracy.
I promise you it's really close to the reality.
Same lenght, same duration (I wrote Vekoma)... we
used pictures, video, and many things on
Disney books and on the net. I (zan_2003) made a 3D double station,
to do that, I had many extra work,
and in fact there are 2 tracks one on the other.
Lenght : 1600m
Duration : 3'30mn
Trains : 5 (30 persons/train)
3 lifts hills.
The Big Thunder Mountain
------------------------------------------
This mountain is defended by an indian God. So that
when the miners are digging, earth can shake under their
feets! That's the legend...
"When we started to make the ride, said Jeff Burke,
the engineers said it would not be possible to build
the track on a mountain and to have underwater tunnels.
But at this time the tunnel under the channel beetween
France and England was just over! So we made it,
and the most exiting parts of the ride are at the very
begining and at the very end"...
Have fun with BTM!
--------------------------------
-Please use BTM environment!
-You can sit in the front, it's also fun in the last car

A very nice mine train style ride... but its not really meant to recreate the Disney Big Thunder Mountain Railroad rides I think... but leaving that aside I looked at it as a really good fun ride with a lot of nice elements.
Thee are two trains which will immediately dispatch together and run into a single piece of track.. but not throw any simulation errors... the author says to use "F11" to turn to manual dispatch to address this and let the trains go one by one... riding the second car so as not to "merge" with another.
In NoLimits 2 you have to use f4 to get the "Ride Control panel" and switch to manual dispatch to achieve this.
But in fact there is an interesting effect if you let the first two trains merge... you get a sort of concertina effect of one train's cars going slightly slower and faster than you car which is actually quite nice, and would make for a good video, or VR effect when the Oculus Rift version comes out.
The ride is long, with three lift hills and lots of great angles and sweeps and humps. Very enjoyable. Just don't expect a Disney ride recreation.
My ratings... I don't understand why the average is much lower than my individual scores... odd. I see some other ratings do not seem to work right.
Trackwork Accuracy = 7.5 Pacing Accuracy = 8.5 Attention To Detail = 6.5 Scenery Accuracy = 6.5 Degree of Difficulty = 7.0 Average = 5.08 (!!!) Surely this should be 7.1?
a very good recreation. I've ridden it a while ago and it does really looks like the real one. Great job on that. There was tons of thrill in the track, Well done!
I think you did an awesome job with this ride!!! I loved everything about it!! The layout, pacing and everything was great! Congrats on a great ride and Can't wait to see more!!!

great recreation. 3DS are good, but i dont like it too much. Don't have too much adrenaline, and the terraforming and 3DS make it low. Acuraty is good, and technical is good too
HI Zan, is a great recreation but have some fails. The tunel crash i think you could make it softer, have some bad "continuos baninkgs" and have a banking lift. The 2 cars begin at the same time, and i see a crash whit the water, but is that . Is a great recreation, not too intense, but is nice !! I think mountain is biger and car goes faster , but recreation is good.
