I've had this park going since about January, and it is by far the most time-intensive thing I have ever done in RCT. Hopefully you all will think it was worth all the work...[:p]
Memoria has seven coasters and a bunch of flats and tracked rides as well. I tried to put a lot of detail into the themeing, and tried to do different things with each coaster in regards to interaction with themeing and landscaping.
To make a long story short, Memoria is based on a fictional place where all of the memories of everything that ever lived are stored. The coasters and rides attempt to recreate different themes or experiences that life has weathered or created throughout the history of this planet. Some of them may seem a bit abstract, so I may do some kind of walkthrough to explain it all.
Anyway, so let me know what you guys think, and I hope you enjoy my newest park! [|)]
That was just incredible. I don't really feel the need to write you a long detailed rate (nobody else has and they've all said it already). This park was fantastic, the scenery was AMAZING. I couldn't even imagine doing that, must have been so frustrating and time consuming. But it paid off with such a beautiful park with fantastic rides. Great job dude.
Sorry that I haven't commented on this, you already know what I think though. BTW, I'll send that logo that I gave you but didn't. Nice creative archy and nice use of brick.
Well, this is definitely my favorite park of all time....it's beautiful, and I could just admire the beauty and search for its intricacies for hours.
Coasters: The rides are all great...although theming is the main draw, the rides all hold up there end of the bargain. The dueling Schwartzkopfs, with the top hats over the stairway, and the duel fountain effects are spectacular. The interaction with the walkway and Gaia's cobra roll is beautiful. And the Intamin inverted coaster is beautiful with its nice supports, and great underground/above ground effect. Even the smaller rides were, great, as the green kiddie ride's layout was great, with the small areas popping above ground for some nice views. And I have to mention the beautiful log flume ride...it was simply excellent.
Theming: Well, this is what was on display, and this is amazing. Everything, and I mean, EVERYTHING, matches beautifully to the surroundings...no extraneous walls and the like, but everything works together to make some beautiful views. The bumper boats on the little island at the top of the waterfall is just one of those great details that set this apart. I also love the station for the woodie. And the supports for the coasters are amazing. I also must talk about the area around the vertical drop coaster. It was simply a great idea, with a very cool look...and more great details lie in the roof-like overhang over the little eating area next to the go-karts...It's just all so beautiful.
Bottom line: I mean, this is just the best...spectacular stuff, and yada yada, this is THE best I've seen.
i've given you my comments over AIM.
one thing that i requested is a non-custom park from you cuz i think that would be interesting. Another thing is: instead of interacting with scenery(which everyone should know by now that you can do) why don't you make separate coasters and little rides interact with each other! I think that could turn out pretty sweet and would be challenging (yeah I tried a bit of that in my park so i'm not a hypocrit ). ANyways i'll say this again.
amazing work. every building is incredibly creative. there is so much in here that i don't have the time nor the patience to appritiate it all. Maybe you could lighten the load on yourself next park by not cramming so much theming in it and just some simple landscaping. You truly outdid yourself here. I would feel incredibly guilty to give something like this any less than the perfect ten sense i've given that rate to stuff not half as good before. Effort alone is overwelming. You need a vacation.
and i need to shut the H up cuz I keep saying the same things over and over...
Congrats to RCTandy for getting the first perfect rating of ten from me. I never have given anybody else a ten on this site and you are the first to do so. I don't know what to say about this park other than it's just simply amazing. Everything was great about it. The theming was super, rides were great, and everything just looked so good. Great work. Maybe the best RCT2 upload here so far.
The Coasters(A): All the coasters are good. Maybe the biggest flaw is the lack of holding brakes on the vertical coaster. I have tried Oblivion and knows that half the fun is the holding brake. I don't like Gemini and pulsar that much. But Infinity is a great coaster. I feel that the coasters lack the little extra. But the best part about this park is the theming and how the rides interacts with the theming Therefore I Give you a 10 on Coasters:)
The Theming(T): Great work. Realy no complaints. Excellent. I especially like the look of the park.10/10 for this one.
Overall: Excellent park, with superb theming. The best theming I have seen in a long time. Great work!
I discovvered a nice little detail. Your maze. It was very well hidden. Nice building:)
I dont usualy rate the RCT parks, but this one was insane. The amount of attension to detail was just incredible and the amount of tiem you must of spent on this time must just be crazy.
Technicaly i cant see anything wrong with the park, and also i feel there is no way in which you could improve it any further so you can only be awarded with 10 for that.
Not sure how to rate adrenaline but some of the coasters you had in thier were very well done. The hyper coaster as a centre piece really did justice for the park and also the theming of the rides and interactions with everything and anything increased your score...Again there is not much you could do to improve the attractions in the park, so ill give another 10
Originality was all there. The story line of Memoria cant say has been done before ( i could be wrong) and also the themeing and all else is just insane, so again i offer a 9.5. Overall one of the best parks ive seen and a must download. Great work Andy, hope to see more like it
