I have attempted several attempts over the past year, but they were futile. Now after all the plentiful amount of knowledge that I learned, I will contribute that into my hopefully final and succesful attempt at my favorite ride, California Screamin' @ Disney's California Adventure, circa 2008 last year, with the Mickey Mouse still on the loop, TSMM, and the Sun Wheel. I would appreciate extra testers, but you will only be a main tester if you can confirm that you've ridden the ride at least 30 times in your lifetime , or you can help me with smoothing and be a wise designer to be able to criticize and help me make the product as accurate to my best ability. I won't accept more than 15.

Current Testers:

Atem122
Flickstah
Calakapepe
Ianko66
Randomman4
SauronHimself
SNJ
Griffonluv
Real
ArapahoeGOALIE07

Anyways, onto the pictures.

The cartextures, pretty self explanatory. The head of the car is from a picture I took myself

The Prelaunch area. Mine is original because all the other recreations start from the left station

Anyways, I plan to go all out for 3ds - Station, Footers, Midway Mania, The shops, LIMs and Brakes, etc. And might I add, that I thought ahead, and now that I know how to make the alpha textures work for objects in the OC, I can manipulate it to make all the objects I want and still keep it low poly.

That's all for the beginning, and I will keep you updated every week, because I will upload weekly progress videos to my YouTube channel, http://www.youtube.com/A113Productions , every Friday. So if I don't update the thread with the video, you can always check out the channel to see if it's up.

Is it released yet because you just released Speed: the ride?
SkyArrow Posted - 12/07/2012 : 7:21:31 PM
This is going to end up being the best recreation of any ride ever. The recreation to end all recreations. I haven't been on it, but I can sense the huge amount of effort put into this, the thread having started since 2009. It's like waiting for No Limits 2 to come out, but on a smaller scale.

CKidd would be the only person here who can understand why I will be incredibly busy.

If he intends to finish in the next 12 months I'd look for around January, I know personally he won't have much free time in school.

You suck.
A113 Posted - 08/12/2012 : 10:59:41 AM
On hiatus, I won't be able to finish it this month, and I'm starting college in 15 days. Sorry.
Xymos Posted - 08/12/2012 : 07:07:13 AM
I know you have your reasons, and I want to make sure you understand this is coming from an excited person, not a whiny/complaining person, but you are killing me with the lack of updates! :) I am super excited for this project, especially because this month is the target release date month. How is it going?
AJClarke0912 Posted - 07/19/2012 : 12:54:11 AM
^Was going to say the same thing. I would figure the Follow Me tool would work perfectly. Connect the posts with lines, extrude the railing/curve through the lines.

The progress I'm showing you, as constructive as it may be, isn't very great news. Work has slowed down immensely, especially with adding these railings, which is the main culprit. The task is so tedious, there is no efficient solution such as copying along a path. The distance between each post varies throughout the course, as well as the orientation. I've tried several methods to expedite the process, and efforts proved to be unsuccessful. I at least developed a system, but it's going to take a while, and it shows that it has taken a while. I'm still pushing for that August release guys, it hasn't left my mind yet. The fact that I recently got a job limits my time further, but it's a challenge I'm up for.

The follow me tool doesn't help at all?

And that coaster is looking amazing right now. Keep it up!

Is there even a scheduled release date for NL2?
Jcoasters Posted - 07/13/2012 : 10:44:41 AM
Very ***y. And as always, do not rush yourself. Your ride will be amazing even if it's released when NL2 is out.

You know, I don't think yours will be the exact length. :P

This is a really tough ride to recreate. I'm sure it's accurate. I'll have t give this a download! Great job

AmatsuNL Posted - 07/05/2012 : 5:18:23 PM
One thing I know for sure, though: My computer won't be able to run it above 5 fps.
RideOnKI Posted - 07/05/2012 : 12:44:45 PM
^Okay.

RideOnKI Posted - 07/05/2012 : 12:13:38 PM
So, the track length isn't the sam length as the real one?
A113 Posted - 07/05/2012 : 12:00:35 PM
A tad shorter than the actual ride, like roughly 191m. Expected since I built on a satellite image that isn't perfectly overhead.

You stood in queue for 0.08 seconds.
