I would like someone who's experienced with Newton to help me out with X-Flight's track. I got the drop and the Zero-G in but that tilted Immelmann is impossible!
As you know, I'm excellent with sketchup and I think we really could pull off a good recreation if we work together on this. I can send the current Newton file just contact me via PM and I will e-mail it to you.
I was making a recreation of X-Flight in newton as well and I got the tilted immelmann pretty spot on. I think we could make a pretty great recreation! (seeing your AWESOME as 3ds and trackwork)
well my trackwork isn't always great, but a recreation is slightly out of my reach since they need to be precise....let alone getting it right in newton.
^^Yes, it does need to be higher. Aerial views are useful but can be deceptive because they don't usually provide a view looking straight down at the target.
What's here is pretty accurate, the shaping on the Immelmann looks good but the element itself looks a little small. It may actually be a bit close to the station, also, I think the real X-Flight angles outward slightly more at the base of the zero-g, creating a bit more distance from the Immelmann to the station. Obviously I could be wrong since I'm only looking at one angle of your recreation.
