No but there's some HD texture packs with 256x256 textures like LB Photo Realism. How are you supposed to build or do anything that relates to the core gameplay of Minecraft if everything is rounded? It's the point of the game! It would be massively confusing if random things were rounded off, especially with half-blocks and stairs. And buildings would be really strange since random parts would be rounded, etc, and things would just not gel like they do now.
I dunno why you want Minecraft to be a different game. I mean, a sandbox "realistic" game would be quite cool, but it would be a completely different build style, look, gameplay mechanic, and more.
I don't understand why you can't get over the classic look of it. While I typically like good-looking games like BF3, I actually prefer using the default/classic texture on Minecraft. It's just how the game and it's mechanics are.
Otherwise, use 3D modelling for a "realistic 100% sandbox". But for a game Minecraft delivers. |

also, I guess If you mean the game is supposed to be played blocky, and that's what makes the game, sorry. I have a couple old tubs of legos for that. |

Exactly. Minecraft is like virtual Legos with survivalism, adventure, etc thrown into the mix with multiple people.
I'm not getting fussy lol, I'm literally just saying that if you can't get over the fact that it's blocky, it's just simply not the game for you unfortunately. Honestly the blocky-ness of it tends to wear off as you play and your mind sorta processes it as non-blocky (at least for me), which is kinda funny. I think if you did play it a lot you would get over the fact that it is blocky - especially since the gameplay is built on that aspect. But that's up to you whether or not to spend your money. |
