Yeah, who cares what it's made of, so long as the end result kicks ass.

Used to work at Silverwood in management for 4 years; I was at the job site when RMC was first installing the original prototype topper track onto Tremors, as well as when they returned to add more to other sections (eventually all of Tremors will have the Topper Track, it's just being installed in phases). They pump in the concrete via valves w/end caps that are placed so far apart to space it out. After the concrete (aka "non-shrink design mix") is pumped in, the valves are sealed and welded shut.

Oh God the puns... :P

Anyway, I know I'm late on saying this, but I like that 81 degree drop. Looks like it'll give a heck load of airtime.

HA, I DON'T HAVE A SIG - wait, what?

I'm excited to see how the "inversion" turns out. To be honest, the cutback type thing in the NL sim looks like poop.

What the. That is amazing.

BTW why the hell hasn't SDC "officially" announced this coaster yet, even when it's already so unbelievably obvious what they're doing? Really strange.

If I remember correctly, most of the announcements for new coasters are in august and september. Haven't been keeping up with "official" announcements as of late, though, so I'm not entirely sure.

If the park hasn't made an official announcement, the manufacturer has no legal right to make the announcement themselves.

I think you misread, He didn't mention the manufacturer at all, SDC RMC, they're kind of close.

What are these for?

Apparently there was some sort of website leak in which some people over at TPR and SDCfans were able to see the layout.

You can still poke around a text only cached version of the site which was available on google cache as http://silverdollarcity2013.com/justForTesting/

People are saying that the layout indicated a Double Barrel Roll Finale and a final name of Outlaw Run.

One thing's for sure: When this opens, how we judge whether an element is "realistic" or "unrealistic" will be changed tremendously.

I'm already excited as hell to see this ride completed.

^And this is exactly why I'm such a big ambassador for trying new things that haven't been tried on coasters of certain types before.

The far-fetched ideas of today are the coasters of tomorrow.

Side note: that does NOT mean that I think this is a good idea. IMO, the whole appeal of wood coasters is in being reckless and wild and out-of control, with lots of lateral g's and pops of air. This new whole pre-fab movement, where the track is smooth, the g-forces are controlled, and it goes through forceless overbank elements, is a disturbing development. It very well could be the death knell of the imperfect g-forces on wood coasters that I love so much.

Yeah cause concrete filled steel is the same as wood.
