That's probably to help support all of the clamps they use

I love how the shaping is more oval-like. But that's probably because of the heartline.

I just hope everything works like they think it will work. Concrete pumped into the track? That's OK if it doesn't crack or crumble when the train rolls over it but I guess it has already passed all the tests but I still don't understand how it passes. One thing is for sure, replacing a section of track looks like it's going to require more work than just replacing an all wooden track. And you still have those six layers of wood under the concrete and steel that are going to have to be replaced some time in the future. Here's another thing that amazes me. How in the world did they get that wood track to bend like that going through the 0 G roll? I'll say one thing. The guys at Rocky Mountain sure think way, way outside the box. They're on a different planet!

Isn't RMC lead by Alan Schilke, that dude that made X with Arrow for SFMM? Looks like he's finally found a good company to work with.

Yes, Schilke is behind it and I'm pretty sure he designed the New Texas Giant. I enjoyed talking with him at IAAPA. These guys know what they're doing.

In chat it's tradition for A113 to type three words then press Enter, regardless of their sentence use, phrasing, and substantial vertical space required to read what he has to say. This tradition is often accompanied by a fake chime noise every 2 seconds - encouraging users to disable sound.

You should repost the same images that are in the link that was already posted since we probably missed them the first time when we opened the link and then repeatedly commented on them.

it looks like a fun ride experience, but as far as what i think it looks like.. i think it looks horrible , it looks like the rollercoaster equivalent of when people put those stupid giant rims on classic cars.. basically when they are done they'll have the equivalent of a mediocre, albeit quirky, steel roller coaster on a wooden structure with square tracks.. in other words i'm amazed that "enthusiasts " are falling for a gimmick. still it does look like fun ,

This, combined with the fact that it's something different. I think a lot of us have ridden/seen a lot of coasters that are the same, and when something different like this comes along (whether or not it's really any good, honestly) it intrigues and excites most of us.

So curious looking. I'm really stoked to see a train roll through there. I have a thing for watching heartline rolls, for some reason.
