If you really plan on accompanying me for basically the entire trip (never expected anyone to come back to NM with me lol) I could likely cover your gas cost and lodging for KW-SDC, so your cost for the second half would be greatly reduced to food and admission. Keeping all this in mind, I'd say 1.5-2k max, however that number will likely come down quite a bit as most of it will be gas cost and lodging, both of which will be covered for the second half. I'll keep you updated

Im working as hard as I can to do both trips, but I really need a solid pricepoint in order to say for certain. I also need to know if it's possible for me to ride-along, or if I would need a rental.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

you can ride along, as of now we have 5 people and 2 cars... as far as pricepoint, we're working out an approximate per-person cost right now

I would like to point out what I just realized; That route takes you directly past Waldameer, which can be done in like 1-3 hours since it's only really Ravine Flyer II.

Honestly, I'm trying to avoid any unnecessary admission costs...and 30$ for one coaster seems a bit steep to me. It's definitely up for discussion, as the drive for that day is only 5 hours. Keep in mind there WILL be a stop at Niagara Falls, though it may be just for lunch or something.

^If you will be driving through or near Erie, PA I second slosprint's suggestion and would highly, highly encourage a stop at Waldameer. The park has no admission or parking charge, and you have the option of either purchasing an unlimited ride wristband (about $30 if I remember right) or doing pay per ride (which will be $3-5 per ride). Personally, I would rank Ravine Flyer II in my top five wood coasters (out of 69) and the park has a couple other fairly unique attractions, so if time permits it is absolutely worth a stop.

This looks like a really cool trip and I'd love to join it. Unfortunately, time and money don't work for me, but having been to most of these parks at some point in the past five years (only missing Kennywood and Silver Dollar City), I can say that you should be in for a great time.
Coaster Count: 535 (114 wood, 444 steel); Park Count: 110
Top 5 Wood: El Toro, Voyage, Thunderhead, Outlaw Run, Boulder Dash
Top 5 Steel: Superman the Ride, Fury 325, Millennium Force, X2, Intimidator 305

Do any of the tickets/passes offer group discounts or would it be the same price/cheaper for me to buy them online ahead of time?

There are no group discounts for this since it is only like 5 or 6 of us at best. You are best to buy your tickets online now to get cheaper discounts than at the park.

I just chatted with a CP employee and they said that Platinum Pass holders got the Fast Lane Plus pass for the price of the regular Fast Lane pass. I assume this is true for all CF parks.

According to whoever in the HR department was on the other end of the chat, yeah. It seems to be an offer that is only good at the park itself though, not online. It might be worth it to contact them and ask more about it.

In other news, all the hotels have been booked, and I'm putting together an information packet to send to each participant.

My flight to Nashville is booked, I should be getting there around 9:45-ish. I guess I'll just eat chicken nuggets until Oscar gets in. Now that I'm committed tell me how awful the hotels are.
