Capacity shouldn't be too much of an issue considering the ride is 20-30 seconds long, but the three long trains do look weird. Hopefully they provide some nice airtime over the top hat!

Yeah shouldn't be too bad. Hopefully the crest that begins and ends vertically has airtime. We'll have to wait and see.

I don't think the trains look particularly weird. Also it'll have to have at least a little bit of air...it's physically impossible to pull over a normal hill crest from vertical without going under 0G. It would be nice to get air all the way over though...really draw out the low G from start to end of vertical. It's even more important to do so since the the twists are so gradual, whereas on KK or TTD much of the excitement is from the quick rotations.

Im guessing its only like that because of the magnetic launch. The more they increase train weight the lower the acceleration.
All hail your great Arrow Dynamics overlords.

LSMs have a higher acceleration ceiling than you think, and I honestly doubt the weight difference between the Intamin OTSR straps and Lapbars are that big, especially when you take into consideration the fact that the mechanisms aren't built into the seat and that they require seat-belts. I would be really surprised if this was even a factor, especially since B&M managed to launch those extremely bulky Thunderbird trains just fine.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

He wasn't talking about the restraint difference. MagnumFreak was talking about the difference in the number of cars, and each car makes a considerable difference.

No need to expect anything other than lapbars, really. Intamin hasn't used anything else on a roller coaster in 5 years.

Looks like the same seats and lapbars as on Taron. Those are comfy. :)

Look closer, they're not T-lapbars. They're over the shoulder lap bars. :)

I have actually no idea what I read that made me think he was talking about the lapbars. Also number of cars would make exactly 0 difference because each car has a set of magnets underneath, and the pulse repeats for each car. Energy consumption would scale with # of cars but force output would not be an issue.

There will be a limit on maximum power output though (and therefore number of cars) - don't want to drain the entire park of power whenever you have to launch the thing!

surely the ride (and similar ones) would have it's own transformer, to up the power going to it? i would have though so, anyway.

Yep. They already have an Intamin drop tower at the main park.

Um, S&S Towers which usually give us 4 directions, were not attached to the coaster tower.

The trains kind of remind me of Uma Thurman, (pre-plastic surgery) you have no idea why it looks fantastic but it just does.
