Wow, it looks like this coaster will have no dull moments. I'm really intrigued by this coaster and I'd go out on a limb and say that this is the best new coaster for 2017.

Damn, this looks awesome. I'm really wondering about the speed over that double down after the tunnel. Especially because there is quite a tall zero g roll after... Or that part is going to be insane(ly fun), or it's going to be poop.

Hmm... I'd might just hop over tomorrow to the park to check the construction out myself. It's not like I have anything else to do.

And as promised. I did a visit to the park today. Returned with a nice collection of pictures:

EDIT: Pictures broken

This is pretty much everything I could have shot and see from the park. Looks like it's going to be quite short though, as the supports after that zero g roll/barrel roll only show a straight piece of track and a turn around the spike back into the station area.

Wow that looks great, what do you think about the park itself Dirk?

The park went quite rubbish when Six Flags left. The owner after them killed so many rides, that it all went down the gutter.
I'm glad I've seen the park in it's highlight days pre-SixFlags: Lethal Weapon with all it's effects working. Bermuda Triangle with so many effects that it overwhelmed you. Never Ending Story that just keeps giving goosebumps every time you ride it. Those were the days.

The only rides that really intrigue me at this park are this one, Van Helsing's Factory, and the standing gyro drop.

Six Flags just maintained the stuff on their shitty way. But wrecking entire elements from rides and replacing them with cheap sculptures you can find at any gardening store. That's a level Six Flags wouldn't even touch.

They're also aiming for the wackiness that offers smoothness! :)

Coasterwise, not much has changed since last visit. But the station box has received some walls and a roof.

The launch received their launch fins.

Not sure if this is the permanent light package. But for a coaster still under construction. They've nicely added some lights to it!

Will this be a shuttle coaster or one those that launches into a spike and then a full circuit?
What are these for?

It will roll out of the station, transfer onto the main track, then launch forward-backward-forward and on through the course. Triple launching shuttle seems to be the fad nowadays

My initial armchair-engineer guess is space efficiency. In the case of a Skyrocket II, you can generate a +/- 65mph launch in a fraction of the space.

I also think that you'll get something that is (now) quite unique. This will be the first backwards launch in the area (until Gold Rush comes)... I think more GP will be interested in the coaster when they hear that it's got a backwards launch.

That's a joke right? What complaint could they have possibly given?

They should only be allowed to complain about the coaster being built too far away from them.
