I know I am doing like 20 other projects right now, but I think this one is worth working on. It is a very small intamin prefab woodie (the drop is barely 80 feet tall) and it is very intense, boasting tons of airtime, a zero-g-roll, and some cool visual features like an interlocking MCBR/zero-g combo over the station. The entire ride was made in FVD++. I also realize that the supports are all crazy and out of whack because I used the wooden support generator, and I will fix those later. Here are some pics so you can get a gist of the ride.

That is some twisted wood! Nice use of terrain, and its cool to see a Zero G roll on a woodie.
It's been a long time

Looks pretty cool, but isn't topper track on an Intamin Prefab a bit of an oxymoron? Toro was as smooth as Nitro when it opened, and while not quite like before, it's still very smooth 8 years later. It wouldn't need topper. Is that track a standin?

A few other thoughts: The pullup to your lift seems gigantic, though the top looks good.

Make sure your friction is good...if you have pro, edit it to be similar to that of a steel coaster (in other words, way more friction than a typical wooden coaster with steel wheels), or if you don't, NL1.0 friction with 5-6 car, 3 bench trains works very well.

@deere839 thanks. Hopefully the station flyby llooks weird in a good way

@dcs221dcs221 Thanks. I will try to toy around with the friction to get it right. About the lift pull up... I think it is just the fov although it is a bit wider then usual considering the lift is pretty high speed. About the topper track thing, I was just using that to simulate not having ties on the track so it looked a little more prefab-ish. I will try to get a better understanding of the light pattern editior so I can make proper prefab track

@artistyle Yeah, me too

Looks very nice. It looks so cute.

@dcs221 why should he use steel coaster friction? It may have a higher friction coefficient than a classic wooden, but it is still lower than a steel coaster. I think 0.0185-0.02 would be fine.

Do what Dcs said and either pick intamin or RMC. It's kind of like deciding to put Intamin wing coaster trains on Gatekeeper. Yes it'll be different but it won't accomplish much.

It is intamin but I don't know how to get the "prefab track" look without making it look like topper track. If I am not mistaken prefab track is wooden with a small strip of metal in the middle where the wheels go?

Just pull up some closeups, say from Toro construction maybe, and go from there. I haven't tried the light editor so I can't help you with that unfortunately.

ckmwm he is going with Intamin, but was using the RMC rails as a standin because it looks closer than default track.

Dapalm, Intamin prefabs run with polyurethane wheels on steel rails. Only differences are springloading (I don't believe Toro is springloaded given that you can see where the wheels leave the track on hills, and you can also see it in some pictures) and the flat running rails. Also the upstops may be steel, I don't know, but they do make their own special sound as I'm sure you've heard. It could be from the material.

Toro loses speed seriously fast though, of course it expends a lot of energy through heavy forces but still, it's about 180 feet tall and only 4400 feet long. Expedition Geforce is 174' and 4000', shorter length but it ends lower and faster so it's tough to call there. Goliath La Ronde is similar scale, at 175' and 4040'. Goliath SFoG is 200' and 4480'. All of those are aligned pretty well. By contrast, Voyage is 163' and 6440', Mean Streak is 161' and 5230'.

That's what all wood coaster track is like. The wheels never run directly on the wood. Intamin prefab track has lots of very thin layers that are glued together at the factory, while traditional wood coaster track is made up of thicker boards attached to the structure by hand and then shaped to the proper profile. The most distinctive features of prefab track are the joints between the individual rails and the large metal brackets that connect the rails to the structure. Neither of these are present in NoLimits.

@dcs221 maybe you are right, I never noticed they were so short. When I've watched a pov I have the feeling that they are way longer than a steel coaster.

@thecoasterman589 I didn't mean cute in a bad way. Just saying it for the size. I love to see this beastly rides that looks like a familiar coaster.

@rickrollercoaster The kind of storyline that I built this coaster around is the fantasy that one day intamin realizes that rmc is dominating the wood coaster industry, so they decide to up their game, so this ride is built. I'm not sure if that makes any sense to you but i'm trying to explain it as best I can. This is why I want to keep it prefab

I also want to stick to Intamin because I designed it with the prefab kind of style in mind (but with some rmc craziness mixed in). You can see it in the drop, airtime hills, and the twisty sections.

@dapalm I was just kidding about the cute thing. No worries :)

I am looking for testers, not just any testers, but people who will really give me good feedback. If u want the file for testing just tell me. The only thing that is final is the trackwork.

Edit: Testers won't get the file for another week or so considering work is still being done, but "signing up" for testing is still open. In fact, I want as many testers as possible

Also another quick note. I have officially changed the manufactorer from an intamin to an intamin/rmc hybrid (a combination of the two companies)
