I doubt a new update will come out until next year but I'm guessing the mac version will come out. After that probably drop tracks and x-trains, I feel like they've said that somewhere but I might be imagining it...

Is a vertical G spike of -1.6G for literally 1/10th of a second acceptable?

I'd use a different thread than this one to ask such questions. But, yes, it is. Coasters like El Toro and Maverick sustain -1.5 to -1.6 (I'm guessing roughly) for like half of a second at least. Not to mention Skyrush.

Yea it's fine. Prolonged exposure is what makes it not fine.

So I have a texture as a NLMAT, it's a .png and in GIMP I turned the alpha channel on and erased part of it; areas I want to be transparent. The entire texture has fades between transparent and translucent. In NL2, I can't figure out how to do that fade correctly...I messed around with the NLMAT editor a while and could only get the whole texture to be translucent. The parts that should be transparent are just showing up as being dark/black. Can anyone send some thoughts my way that might save me from a lot of trial and error?

Is there any way to make track look even more rusty? I want to have this coaster be almost completely rusty.

Gold Rush's tiny hop inside the tunnel, looks fun! Never mind the status of being SO rusty! Converting this into a woodie could be more fantastic, too! :D

Can someone make a beeper sound scripted to a trigger like this for a coaster station?

Have it activate when the train just entered the station? I could use this for my Kappiea Jet Coaster that I am working on.

Hi all,

I'm a bit of a newbie when it comes to NL2. Just started working on my second ever coaster and I'm starting to notice some patchy graphics in both the editor & simulator. For example, some of the support work is practically invisible from a slight distance, same with a lot of trackwork. I'm just wondering if there are any settings I should change to improve the game's visual quality?

Apologies if this is the wrong place to enquire - couldn't find a more suitable thread.

Why is it that the Wooden Support Generator seems to delete the generated supports after I close a park and re-open it? For example, I am building a wooden coaster and generate the supports (Yes, I am unchecking the "clear previous structure" box). I save the park, exit out of NL2, but when I come back a few hours later, my supports are gone! Why is this?

Check the LOD settings in the display options.

Maybe make sure you put it in final build mode. I won't have access to NL until December, so I won't be able to help you past that.

I keep thinking it would be awesome if NoLimits created a mobile app that would support riding pre-built tracks and possibly utilize Google Cardboard features. Maybe it wouldn't look as good as the PC version, but it would be cool to toy around with some tracks while I'm off on the go. Also, it would give a cheaper alternative to ride the tracks in 3D compared to Oculus.

I don't think it will be easy to edit track with your fingers on a small screen... Also most phones are probably to slow to handle everything.

I think that a remote control mouse for an iPad should be invented! :)

Ok, I have reached a point where I would like to save my park and coaster, yes I know how to do that.
What I would like to do is a "Save As" so I can start working on a new copy.
All I can seem to do is change the name of the park and that does not leave the old in tact.

Any help?
Thanks,
Dave

Well I got that figured out.
It's amazing what a few hours and good drugs will do.
