I thought this news was posted days ago...

So, Disneyland apparently is ground zero for the spread of measles. At last count, 26 people have been confirmed infected with the measles.

More info will be posted as it arrives!

I always found it funny how quickly people cling onto the BS with refusing vaccines, but as soon as they're presented with tons of facts and studies on why vaccines are important, they refuse to accept it.

The only vaccine I have a problem with is the flu vaccine to be honest. My mother and father both work in the medical field, and they both constantly tell me it's not really necessary, and I've found that true. I've never got a flu shot, and never have gotten the flu either 8-) . It's not that I refuse to get it, rather I don't see a real reason to.
It's been a long time

According to the news stories i have read, yes, for obvious reasons lol, i have been following this story closely, at least 85 percent of the cases are linked to ca residents and 7 of the total cases are san diego county residents and their recent trip to the doctor shut down a la mesa medical center. All of the people who have shown symptoms visited the resort between dec 15th and 20th

So did someone with measles go to the park and infect others, or is the virus linked to the park itself?

^ I bet someone infected touched something, which then someone touched it, and then it spread that way.

Do a little research before telling something like that.

Measles is spread through the air. So by just talking, sneezing and coughing, people can get a hold of the virus. The worst thing is you're actually contaminating people, before you even know your sick. You start spreading the virus roughly 4 days before any of the symptoms show up and since Disney is a dreadful pit of stubborn parents with a gazillion children, all crammed up into one place. Stuff like that gets even spread around faster than wildfire.

Continuing from this, for those who don't quite understand the vaccination thing - even those vaccinated can still get the virus. It's not 100% reliable, it's just a strong protection against the virus, and when larger numbers of those media-fueled parents opt out of vaccinating their children from these (vaccine preventable!) diseases, the "herd immunity" among large crowds is lost. Thus increasing the chance for the disease to spread, especially to those too young to even be vaccinated. So, the virus most likely came in from an infected child, vaccinated or far more likely not, and inevitably began to spread it among the children in the park. This is why I hate this anti-vaxxer movement so much!
