Yes, after much deliberation and arguing with my wife (I finally won, damnit), we will be visiting USF/IOA, Sea World, and Busch Gardens. This is planned for the 11-15th, but that could get pushed back due to the IRS starting late this year (lazy ****ers). Anyone in the area is most welcome to join us. So Ill be at Hershey from about 12:00 PM Friday (June 1, 2012) to about 7:00 PM if anyone wants to meet up. Not really planning on doing too much since I was just there a few weeks ago. Skyrush and most likely hang in the water park for a bit.
Kings Dominion on June 2nd as part of the Coaster Crew's "Virgina is for Coaster Lovers" event. Ill be at the park all day.
Busch Gardens on June 3rd is also part of the above event.

| SFMM 4/23 - One more quick question. 04/08/2012 |
I'm planning a trip to SFMM on the 23rd of April, a Monday. Considering as I rarely get opportunities to go to theme parks at all, I really want to make the best of this trip. I'll be there for 5 hours, getting there at opening. What would the crowds be like on a day like this? Also, what rides should I hit up first that tend to fill up fast? I'm going to try to hit X2 and Tatsu first, but other then do you have any other suggestions?

So I see and often talk to a lot of users from the area, and i got to thinking.....WE DON"T DO poop. I propose we fix that. All I ask is that if you're in the area, you simply post when and where it would be convenient for a meetup, and see who else has a schedule that coencides with yours, enabling you to plan meetups more easily. My hope is that we can use this as an ongoing topic to plan many future meetups, even if they don't involve me.
I'll go first:
Time: basically all throughout summer except end of July/beginning of August. Any weekend if planned ahead of time.
Where: Magic Mountain, Knotts, either Disney park, even the Santa Monica Pier.

I wanted to give you an update on what was happening with the Six Flags Magic Mountain Coaster Enthusiast event which will be held on Saturday, March 19th, to coincide with the re-opening of Superman The Escape.
The event ticket will cost $53.00 and include:
- Admission to Six Flags Magic Mountain
- Free Parking before 8:30 a.m.
- ERT from 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. on selected coasters (see below)
- Continental Breakfast
- All-you-can-eat Buffet Lunch
- One hour meet & greet with Park Executives (for ACE only)
- FREE 6” x 8” Kodak Souvenir Photo Voucher
- ERT from 9:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. on selected coasters (see below)
The ERT lineup is as follows. Please note that all rides are subject to availability and schedules may change without notice. The park will announce a few surprises to the evening ERT at the Q&A session so please make sure you attend.

Hey, Knott's is once again having their annual Winter Coaster Solace. It will be taking place in march, and I think it would be fun to meet up. I might be going, so if any of you want to join me, post here!

I wanted to bring you up-to-date on what’s happening with the Knott’s Winter Coaster Solace event. I just received final confirmation from the park that the event will be held this year. It will follow the same format as what was done in the past – optional Friday evening hotel package and the Saturday all-day event. The date is March 18th/19th.
Knott’s is in the process of putting together all the details and pricing. The event will include:
-Friday Night Reception for Hotel Guests with dinner and entertainment (optional add-on)
-Saturday morning ERT with Behind the Barricades of Windseeker, Photo Op, Lunch with Raffle, and night time ERT with desserts.
As soon as the park finalizes the pricing and details, they will send to me and I will forward on.
As some of you may be aware, Theme Park Review is doing their annual West Coast Bash event which is that same weekend with Knott’s being on Sunday, March 20th. Hopefully, this won’t cause confusion having back-to-back coaster events the same weekend but Knott’s wants to hold the Winter Coaster Solace event to support the ACE community."

So I was thinking of having a park meet for the Haunt event at Knotts Scary Farm on Friday the 15th of October. The event runs that night from 7p.m. to 2a.m. and it costs $46.

| Plans for summer 2011 07/28/2010 |
My girlfriend and I are going to Phoenix in August. We were planning on taking the 6 and a half hour drive to six flags MM, but we both started to realize how much that turn our relaxing resort vacation into a go-go-go trip. After being so excited to finally go to SFMM, I called it off with a compromise. I told her I would forget about SFMM, as long as next year we went on a roller coaster oriented vacation, which we haven't done since Cedar Point, 5 years ago.
Here are the plans, so far. I live in St. Louis.
Day 1 - Drive 6 hours to King's Island.
Day 2 - Drive 6 more hours to King's Dominion
Day 3 - Drive an hour and a half to Busch Gardens Williamsburg
Day 4 & 5 and maybe 6 - Spend relaxing at Virginia beach and making the fiance (by that time we will be engaged) happy.
I figured the over all cost of the trip to be between 600-700 dollars, before food. We're moving in together this winter, so we decided we'd do a cheaper vacation, next year. We usually fly everywhere, and stay in resorts. This time we're going to drive and stay in cheaper, but clean hotels. Can anyone think of any other parks to hit on the way there or back that wouldn't put us out of the way more than an hour or so? Any advice or tips? All of our park time will be during the week.

I am in LA with my family to visit my older sister who lives here. Unfortunately, the new Twilight film will also be premiering while I am here, and my sisters (3 of them) and my mom will be camping literally on the sidewalk for 4 days in hopes to see the stars walk the red carpet. Also, my older sister pulled the "It's my birthday!" card on me, forcing me to go to the midnight premiere of Eclipse...
Anyway, my mom promised to take me to both of these parks since I have been waiting to go there for like ever...
I am visiting SFMM on Saturday and KBF on Sunday

So, I've never really gotten to travel somewhere just to visit an amusement park, and after a lot of convincing, my mom finally agreed to let me go to Chicago to go to Six Flags Great America. the trip will be around the end of July, although I don't know the specific date yet. If anybody would like to meet up, it could easily be arranged.
Edit: ok, so i now have dates:
7/22: my mom and i will be traveling to Mt. Olympus. We'll be there all day.
7/23-24: both days will be spent at SFGAm.

| 2011 Summer Trip 04/28/2010 |
I'm planning on a road trip to some parks east of the Mississippi. Below is the map of ones I'm interested in visiting. I'd like to get to 9 of the 12 I've listed. I'm in NE Ohio. Cedar Point will be my first park on the trip, Kings Island will be the last. Planning on only two of the parks in PA. Which two should I go with? Going to be going down the east coast and coming back up towards the west. I'm starting to save my money now. This won't be a cheap trip, probably around $400 just for tickets alone. I'll be turning 16 next Spring, going to take quite a bit of talking with my parents. Planning on getting a $1-$3k car that will make it a couple thousand miles for the trip, then selling it when I'm done, and getting a nicer car probably close to $10k.

Yes! It's the 3rd time that I'm going to America and if possible it would be awesome if there could be some meetups.
I'm going for about 3 weeks to America. First one week in NYC and after that the Themepark visits can start, because I'm going back to Florida!
I'll be flying to NYC on the 5th. Departing from Amsterdam and arriving in NYC. After about one week NYC to explore the city and maybe visit some closed coasters it's further down to Florida.
I'll be flying towards Orlando on the 12th, then about 2 weeks later, I'll be flying back home on the 24th.
But now, about the meetups. Both locations would be cool, as a Themepark meet or just non-themepark meet. Who here is up to a meetup in that period?

| Road Trip - 2010 - Cancled 09/15/2009 |
Hey everyone! Lets present the first CF/CC PA Trip!
Details:
Trip Time Line: (7 Days Total)
Day 1. 9:30 AM - Meet at Park-and-Ride just off Route 33 in Easton PA. Drive to first park of the trip, Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom. Staying till close. Hotel is right across the street.
Day 2: 8:00 AM - Check out for hotel #1. Drive to hotel #2 and head to Hershey Park. Stay till close.
Day 3: 9:00 AM - Go back for a second day at Hershey Park. Go to Chocolate World and Zoo America. After closing of the Park we go back to the hotel.
Day 4: 7:00 AM - Wake up and make the drive to Knoebels. Spend the day at Knoebels. Possible trip to the GCI HQ if allowable. Around 9:00 PM we will gather at Phoenix and ride it and Twister before going back to the hotel in Hershey.
Day 5: 6:00 AM - Check out of hotel #3. Begin long drive to Pittsburgh and have fun at Kennywood. Might even take in a Pirates game if they are home at the time. Extra charge for that though. Check into hotel around 3:00 PM.
Day 6: 7:00 AM - Check out of hotel in Pittsburgh and head to Erie and Waldameer. Again around 3:00 PM we will check in to the hotel. Might even take some time to go swim in lake Erie. Try to spot TTD!
Day 7: 7:00 AM - Check out of hotel and start long annoying drive back to Easton Park-and-Ride off Route 33. Its going to take about 6 hours so have fun some how. Then, say your good-byes. The trip is over.
Costs: Being determined at this time. There is a special open to a few people if you jump on this trip. More on that later.
Dates: Start 6/29/2010 - End 7/05/2010
Parks: Dorney Park, Hershey Park, Knoebels, Kennywood, and Waldameer.
Coasters: Talon, Ravine Flyer II, New un-named coaster, Lightning Racer, Phoenix, and other GREAT rides.
Deposits will be needed. As of right now, we have shirt to offer, that is $15. Trip deposits will be announced in about 2 or 3 weeks. Total cost will be announced in about a month. Payment plans are available. All rates, (except the RV special), reflect double occupancy. Prices do NOT include taxes or tips. We will be working on getting ERT and what-not. Its not 100% though. The parks do reserve the right to close any/all rides for any reason. There is nothing that can be done about it. Also, anything you bring on the trip, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR! Dont bring something you dont want to lose.

Hey everybody,
In august, I will be touring California with ThemeParkReview.
If you'd like to meet-up in one of the parks, let me know and I'll look out for ya.
You should know though, the TPR-trips tend to be full of ERT and special activities, as an 'outsider' you will not be able to attend to those things. Also, during the trips groups will form between the members, and you might end up being a 5th wheel just tagging along.
This may seem harsh, but I want to put it there to prevent any dissapointements on the day itself.
That said, the worst case senario would be that I say 'hi', wave and walk along.

Hey theme park visitors,
Jayman and I will be at Disneyland March 29, 2009. It's on a Sunday and we are looking to get some people to come with us. If you are interested in coming to Disneyland with us, post it here so we can orghanize where to meet in or out the park. Maybe we can carpool or something, you know, save money on gas.

This year's haunt seem to be revamped and we wont have the typical Calico hanging. It seems it has been changed to an Indiana Jones theme based hanging. This year's tickets on presale are $47.99 and $49.99, depending the date. Tickets at the door are $52.99

Well last time it didn't turn out well so here's a second try. What dates are you available to attend Magic Mountain if you can come to a park meet with other fellow members. If you are interested in meeting and hitting some rides let us know what approximate dates you are available.
Also right now tickets are $30 and get one free with a coke can. Great way to save $, split $15 each and bring a coke can and get both in free so it's not bad. If you guys and girls are interested in meeting, please post your intentions and approximate dates you can go so that we can set a day to meet.

since 1973 knott's berry farm has hosted the first and best event of it's kind. that event is halloween haunt of course.
though we really had a blast last year, we'd sure like to have lots more members and their freinds attend this time.
i'm going, and i'm sure coolbeans has it in his future plans, but the burning question is "when?" the link posted here provides information regarding the event and the dates..
this is really worth it folks.. other parks have halloween events, but this is the first and greatest.
feedback regarding what dates will work for the greatest amount of members would be greatly appreciated.
any suggestions?

| Disneyland Theme Park Meet - July 10th 06/14/2007 |
We plan on making a theme park for Disneyland on Tuesday, July 10th. Why a weekday? Let's try to avoid the large crowds and a weekday is perfect. Take a sick day from school or work, but don't blame us if you get fired or for loss of wages We plan to meet at theme park opening time at the hotel entrance of the mono rail. I, coastercrazy, personally wont be riding the major thrill rides due to my back condition but will be there with the camera snapping pics and taking lots of footage for a descent park meet video. Well, we need someone who is enthusiastic and what not to be a theme park organizer for the Americas. This is harder than the European theme park organizers since there's a whole lot more gorund to cover. If you feel that you are truly capeable of motivating people into going to theme parks as a group of coastercrazy.com then post your name up. We'll take a vote and pick maybe one or two or even 3 to work as a team in American theme park organizers.
