| Thorpe Park (Swarm) Meet-Up PTR 03/15/2012 |
Guys, I know we said Adrenaguy should write the Trip Report cus he didn't take any photos, but I also told him to have it uploaded by six and he's obviously failed to do that because he's a total failure at life, so;
For, the day started out pretty badly. Intended to get to Thorpe Park at about 9:30, so left Wolves at 07:00 for what is essentially a 2 hour journery... but didn't get to TP until 11:45, hrmph.
The British Motorway system like to take the piss. I was sat next to this sign, at 0mph for 2 hours.
After that ridiculous delay because a biker decided to plough his face into a van, I had to put my foot in it to try and get to TP before closing time 
Eventually I did get there, so here are photos of Swarm, with some other stuff thrown in.

When specifically trying to get on the back row, me and Adrenaguy got ordered to the front of the train, while Mkingy and Archy got on the back row

It was an awesome day once I got to Thorpe Park and I'm sure the others had fun before I got there  .
Swarm is awesome! A different experience in every seat, offering hangtime and airtime at the same time seats in the same row offer positive g's. Seriously comfortable trains and probably the smoothest coaster I've ever been on, too. Very nice theming, but the queue is an absolute jokwe! Like Ritas, only worse; a 10 mile walk each time you ride. Queue time: 5 minutes, but you have to walk for 15 minutes

2 meets at alton towers
1st meet will be on sunday 17th october for scare fest, 3 mazes, scare zones and rides open till 10PM then 2 mazes after that
2nd meet will be on the 7th of november for the fireworks event, possiably the last time alton towers will ever be able to hold fireworks again.
so please come along to both and have a great laugh
if theres enough people may even squeeze in a sacre fest meet to thorpe park if people are intrested

6.day:check out Hotel,culture day,visit a mine in Essen,drive to Europapark,check in hotel(I think the Hotel Coloseo)(7.August)
7.day:visit Europapark,drive to Home after park is closed(or stay in Hotel and visit the park a second day,the drive home in the evening)
(8.August)

Hello to all UK members (and anyone with enough money to fly to the UK)!
Popularity of theme park meet-ups seems to have dwindled over the last couple of years. It's been a little while since there was a proper UK meet, I was reminded of this by the member "rolercstrluvr", who sent me a PM about UK meets.
I propose that it might be about time that we all start suggesting some dates on which meet-ups may be possible for everyone. We can then try and construct a bit of a calendar of when meet-ups may be possible, thus meaning that as many people as possible can come.
There are many parks to visit in all four corners of the country (and the middle!) so we should be able to also include people who live pretty far out.
SO IF YOU ARE INTERESTED:
Post in this thread stating you interest, and also a set of good approximate dates for you. This way I, and probably Gazag , can begin to see if organizing these trips will be worth it or whether there is not enough interest to bother!

saterday the 15th of march there will be a meet for the opening day of alton towers.
it has been limitedly opened the past week with only a few rides open but the 15th will see the full opening of the park including the opening of mutiny bay and the new battle galleons and a small roc'o'tug ride named heave ho.
so come join us the the opening day at alton towers, 15th of march at 9:30 am outside the gate
we garentee a great day out
ATTENTION: there is to be a world record atempt at alton towers on the 15th
"the largest gathering of pirates"

wow this is the first time i've been to this new and revamped site! haha. I'm Linny - gouldy's girlfriend if ya don't know!
and Edge (aka Grant) noticed that Thorpe Park opens on the 16th for half term week and me n gouldy wanna go!!!!
I miss theme parks! We both do! 
We're even thinking bout going on the saturday, staying over night and going again on the Sunday! ...coz we're that sad!

I was wondering if it was possible to have a meet up at Southend at Adventure Island sometime. I went there this year and it was wicked!(Rage was pretty WICKED to.) But because its like the only park thats near me other than Thorpe Park i wouldnt mind going there again and i was wondering if there is anyone else who would want to go to. Im not saying that i want to organise it but its just a suggestion about somewhere the UK Coaster Crew could go!

The park is made up of 2 area's, (3 including the kiddie area, we'll give that a miss)
One is the main attraction's area, containing two rollercoasters, a log fume, and variouse flat rides inculding a drop tower, 4G, 5G, 6G, a top spin, and a wet ride inwhich you site in a dingy and a thrown of a half pipe.
Price: 20 Euro for the day - unlimited rides
The other half is *extreame" rides, such a bungee jumping, Off road carting (looks amazing), that robot rollercoaster, a skate park, and some more

2nd of July at Toverland are the Slappin' Members from coastercrazy concurring Troy!
When: Monday 2nd of July 2007
Where: Entrance Toverland
How: Train to Horst-sevenum, bus to toverland. Or maybe someone could pick you up somewhere and bring you to Toverland.
Program:
9:45-9:55 : We all Gather at the entrance of Toverland. Be on time so we can concur Troy as soon as we can enter the park!
10:00 : Running Competition: The winner grabs the first ride on troy from that day!
18:00 : Closure park, we'd have to leave Troy alone and come back another day.
For the hungry folks:
18:30/18:45 : Aftermeet at the Mac Donalds.

By car
We’re easy to find.
From South Wales follow the M4 West until Junction 49 and take the A48 to Carmarthen.
From Mid Wales follow the A40 to Carmarthen.
From North Wales follow the A487 from Machynlleth, then the A478 Cardigan to Tenby road. Then turn right at Penblewin roundabout onto the A40.
Oakwood is clearly signposted on brown tourist information signs from the end of the M4 and throughout Pembrokeshire.
You can find us off the A40 at Canaston Bridge, 8 miles East of Haverfordwest.
Here is an idea of some approximate drive times:
