Explorer
Explorer was a project that I started around Christmas, didn't work on for a while afterwards, and just recently cleaned up. I did more lateral bracing on this coaster than any I have built so far and after a while I got to where I enjoyed doing it.
Explorer was inspired by real life coasters Voyage, Ravine Flyer II, and Legend. Saci by A7Xandcoasters was also a pretty big inspiration. I would also like to thank LeFLO for his tips he gave me on track smoothening.
I worked pretty hard on this so I would appreciate feedback. Constructive criticism especially on my custom bracing would be very helpful to me and hey, if you liked it, tell me that! And don't forget to leave some numbers 
Millennium Flier trains were used to simulate Timberliner trains. Also, the transitions near the end are too tight for 4 seat PTC's.
Ride in the given environment, it makes all the difference! 
Please do not mention the "249 Buildoff" or "mini contest" in your reviews, and do not let that be the sole purpose of your reviewing. I never really wanted that and Explorer was never made for that.

T: Decent trackwork for the most part; no major complaints here. Shaping was generally good, but it was sort of a mix between GG and CCI styling, which I didn't really like a whole lot, but I didn't mark down for it. The part that I did mark down for, however, was the twister section at the end. It seemed like it was sort of an afterthought, and as such was forced to be crammed into a tiny space. Because of its small space, it rode wayyyyyy too fast. Riding in the sim felt like it was going at 200%. I like the shape of the section, though, and I thought the figure 8 concept was neat, but if it had been twice as big, it would have gone over better, I think. Additionally, there were a few pumps and bumps here and there, and while they might have, in the end, added to "the character" of the ride, they were pretty clearly not intentional in the initial design of the track.
A: It was plenty fast-paced, but as I said above, perhaps too much so. Even the out section seemed quick, and especially the 90* turns and transitions. Now, normally, fast pacing is a boost to the adrenaline, but in this case I think you overdid it, and the fast pacing would, in reality make for one rough ride.
O: Honestly, there was absolutely nothing special about this. It had an interesting mix of GG and CCI shaping, and the twister section at the end I think had a really cool layout, but overall, it just felt like another out-and-back woodie. It was fun, mind you, and a good roller coaster, but it doesn't have anything that deserves a high mark in originality. |

OK this is an unbiased Review. I have ridden both coasters and cannot see a problem with the speed as Gforce has. I really liked the coaster alot I think it was good all in all.
No complaint with your brother Disaster but I do see the experience paying off here his was not bad by any means and you should encourage him to keep building.
