After being started nearly 8 months ago, Black Halo has finally been completed. Two beyond vertical drops, three inversions and 4.8GΓÇÖs make it one of the most intense B&M Dive machines ever built. Experience underground dives, trenches, and near misses, all themed around a Nuclear Reactor test site, for the experimental ΓÇ£Black HaloΓÇ¥ Reactor Core.
- This track is 100% clearance tested, including appropriate clearance for the wider Dive Machine trains.
- In real life, this ride would eight seat wide, floorless trains.
- All G forces are within +4.8 and -1.0 vertical, and +-1.0 lateral, so even with the wider trains there would be no excessive forces.

- This coaster is designed to be a realistic Dive machine, something that could probably be built in real life, using similar or exaggerated elements from existing Dive machines, not an insanely twisted fantasy coaster. Please rate as such.
- All textures are either made by me, or taken/modified from the photorealistic texture pack.
- Requires the NoLimits Track Packager to open.
- Requires NoLimits v1.6 to view properly.

WoW! Awsome! Amazing! Possibly one of the best rides ever made for No Limits!
T: Great! Your track was very smooth, and pumpless as far as I could tell, or even cared to tell. Track was very smooth, and the transitions were perfect and very realistic for a dive machine. I beileve that your loop was spread out wide enough for an 8 seat wide dive machine car to realistically go through without a collision, as well as all your elements were not so extreme in turning that it would put to much lateral strain on the passengers on the outer edge. Your support work was also very good. [:)]
A: Very good in this field as well. Your tunnels were perfect and came in right when they would have the most impact visually. The air time came right when the rider would need some relief from forces, and everything else. The ride was very well landscaped, and the design of the enviornment was pretty good. Though I would work on trying to make your station buildings a little more interesting instead of just having a box.
O: Definately something different. I liked the way that you twisted your track. I felt that if this ride were to be built in real life, it would definately be a unique must-ride experience. This is the future of Dive Machines![:)]
T:Very well detailed. The environmental is perfect for this coaster.
A:At first I didn't like the fog, but now I think it actually adds to the adrenaline. The coaster already had plenty to begin with.
O:I have never seen and dive coaster like this. Companies should model and build your design.
This is the type of roller coaster I would want to see in amusement parks outstanding layout, support, and theme. I could ride this all day. I think the best part is after the mid 'brake' run after you dive into the tunnel and come out. very disorienting and fun! Keep up the good work!
the ride is amazing, the inversions and corners so smooth and the adrenaline just keeps pumping all the way through. I could really see this coaster in a park and the theme is really quite advising. tad of improvement, i did think that the end of the got a slight bit tedious, i don't mean it's bad ride because it's not, it's great but maybe a couple of sharper turns at the end would have aced it for me.
Love the color theme for the track, trains, and supports. The added tunnels, complete with fog, and landscaping makes this a great ride. Aslo looks great when viewing from a few hundred feet away.
T: I could find no flaws with the ride. Rode both front and back and seemed to be pretty smooth. the forces were all acceptable, and obviously the estop worked fine.
A: Seems to keep pace pretty well. My personal preference is to not stop completely during the ride but I guess that is what a dive coaster is all about. Still have not rode one... What the ride lacks in speed it makes up for in interaction with theming and landscaping.
O: 100% original layout, colors, and theme. Great job!
wow! this has to be one of the best no limits coasters ever . it was very smooth and i dont even think i saw the gs get in the yellows. great job with the scenery too you must have worked hard on this. and it has payed off.
liked the ride and attention to detail. The catwalks and supports were great as was the ride itself. Thought I'd see something different tho. Like a higher, faster more extreme drop. I guess I could see this ride going in to any park as just another drop coaster. This isn't to say I don't think the ride is great, I just think it could have gone further. Either way, thanks so much for sharing.
t-Very smooth but when you were peaking at the topof hills going nto the verticle drop it could've been a lot smoother
a- This ride was very good with pacing which kept originality going
o-Well the trackwrok was typical with the begining immleman but the themeing brought it way up
overall-Way to go
Superb. I love everything about this coaster. The theming is awesome and all tunnels were perfectly placed and crafted. I thought the stop at the end was SLIGHTLY sudden, but really, what's in a stop when you're riding you a$$ off the rest of the time.A+!!!!
Its smooth and I very much like the second invertion!
Maybe the naming of the track is a little off. With the tech-theming and the underground stuff I would have called it 'Terra-Terror' or something like that... With 'black halo' I think of space things..
But who cares about the theme, it's a massive ride!
OMG pure genius...everything kept me hanging. the slow pause before the vertical drops and the fog effects in the tunnels...everything is almost perfect. the pnly thing that i got a little iffy about(and i mean little, which is for the Tech being a 9.5) is the final braking segment. sort of a sudden stop. but besides that...everything is purely flawless
I hate giving perfect scores but I'd feel as though I were cheating you if I gave you anything less.
BTW This ran fine without NL 1.6...incase anyone hasn't mentioned that before.
T: Perfect. No bumps, no red g's...things were good. I noticed some very high Gs here and there but nothing that isn't allowed in a coaster.
A: I actually got a little nervous. You built up the adrenaline so well on those drops its incredible, truly something else.
O: I almost would have liked to see this as just plain 90 degree angle drop but the little extra is what made this original. The theming and the colors as well just added to that.
Overall, fantastic, amazing, outstanding coaster I am so glad I decided to download this. I was deterred from doing so because of the requirement for NL 1.6 but decided eventually I might as well try it to see if it works on the older version and thank god it did.
Absolutely Amazing. The pacing was wonderful. I can just imagine how much those drops would make my stomach drop. The pacing was great and it had a nice inversion scheme. I wish B&M would use inversion other than immelmanns on their diving machines. The Loop was a surprise and would be extremely cool with the wide trains. Overall, one of the best on the site.
T: Very smooth, no pumps at all. I'd have to question the use of a few I shaped supports, but overall it was well done and looks realistic.
A: Fast and goes through the curves well. Great first drop.
O: Great 3ds's, blending in very well with minimal seams. Lots of detailing everywhere and reasonably optimized. Supports and layout were well done too. The queue lines were a bit oddly shaped but otherwise it was good.
Nothing more to say, great Diving Machine.
Great pacing, cool Elements and theming.
Colours are choosen well and the terrain was also in good condition.
So call B+M to build this one in real:)
Great job, Dude.
Could that queue have gotten any longer?
I just do not know what to say man. I mean, are there words that acurately talk about this coaster? Not really. I mean, the 3Ds obviously make this, and track work is examplary. The MCB just kinda bored me though. While I understand the use, I am just not a fan of more than one holding brake per drop ride. But ... just wow man ... definitely a keeper.
Maybe it is not quite possible as a dive machine because some of the insane curves and the clearance between the cars that can be a problem. Nrvertheless, it is an awesome rollercoaster with an great perspective for detail. For instance the middcourse brake with first magnets and after that the pressure breaks, great that you have worked it out that way!
I really can't add to much to the great reviews posted before me, so aside from the technical excellance this ride acheived, I really want to say how much fun the ride was to ride. It felt as realistic as any coaster I havr ridden in NL. The 3D's were not distracting, yet really added to the feeling of realism. The layout was really fun and would make a fantastic ride in real life. If only Busch had seen this before they designed Griffon.
Finally, someone makes a freakin cool dive machine. This is going to be in the top five best rated coasters of all time for sure. You took a dive machine and added some flavor to it.NICE
T,9.5:Nothing wrong here.I rode the track five times to check for jerks and pumps. I expected there to be at least one, but, there weren't any. Surprising. The supports were fantastic. They really look like Supports that would go on a B&M diver. One thing caught my eye, at the end, the brakes slowed the car down a little too fast so it might be uncomfortable for the riders. very close to a ten.
A,10:This is where the flavor kicked in and my mind got blown. The suspence you had before each of the drops was amazing. All the tunnels were great. I like the final part after the seacond drop. The turn around the lake was pretty cool. I'm an adrenaline juncky and this ride might even make me scared. Mindblowing.
O,9.5:I know that was supposed to be a realistic diver so I'll rate from that. Very good. I can't belive the the time and work you put in to your rides, becase this a very original/realistic ride. very, very, very, very, very, Good. But not a 10.
I really like this rideand I hope I can see some more rides from you because they rock. Best ride ever.
As many people I was looking forward to downloading this ride and I was impatient too because just really curious!
I don't know why but your coasters are always so clean that everything comes perfectly.
You put a huge interest in building your special particulars and the result is absolutely an amazing ride which I HAVE TO ride in real life:-)
Starting from the trackwork which is oil-smooth,going to support work which is "real"and your objects which give a great point of originality.
My personal collection of Wing-Over's today is definetly the richest one!
All my compliments!
@ Jimmy, then give one 9.00 and one 9.50, gives the same result [;)]
Well, all I have to say is already said by the people below me. I love how realistic this ride feels, also thanks to your great catwalks. The inversions were great, and the loop was a nice surprise too.
Thanks for another great ride from you to add to my collection, I hope to see Kodiak soon!
T: Nearly perfect man. Only thing that I have to say is that the banking into the diveloop might've been a tad too slow. Not much else to say really. Sine Wave turns were awesome, supports look good, 3Ds outstanding. blahdy blah.
A: Plenty of adreniline. Great drops, as expected of a divemachine. Some airtime moments, some good inversions. Strong loop. Only thing is that the layout after the MCBR is pretty much the same as that before. A tad repetative, but still fun. 3Ds did add a ton to the experience.
O: Objects were outstanding. Your new concrete texture is much better than the old one. Trenches and tunnels were awesome. Only thing I might change is the reflection value of the water. I had to squint to see the reflextion of the loop in that sexy water. Layout was nice.
BT- Wow this was very well constructed. I definately like how you had catwalks all where they normally go on regular B&M dive machines. I did see a g of 5.0 at the bas of the loop, but I may have been seeing things. Some of the brake runs seemed like they slowed the train down a tad too fast, and at the top of the first hill the train comes into the brakes kinda fast, but other than those few remarks this was a incredibly well done job, as usual with you
A- I've never been on a dive machine or a eurofighter, so this ride definately threw me for a loop. It got so much speed out of those drops it was just crazy; and the inversions were great and very well positioned to create thrills. I just love this ride!
O- Do I really need to say anything? Nothing on this ride has been done before, or atleast in the same ride of the same type. I really think this one is a greatly designed coaster.
Normally I don't rate tracks that often (or I even don't). But now I just HAVE to rate this track! This really is one of the best tracks I have ever seen.
T: It is amazingly smooth, I did not find any possibility to crash the coaster so well done, I checked the coaster several times if it was possible to ride it with 8 seats and I did not find any hits, however I wasn't really sure about the left side. At some overbanked turns you come really close to the supports at that point but probably there's nothing going on (only a little creepy! ).
A: This thing blew me away! Smart thing with the +90 drops, that would be so awesome. I even almost got scared behind my computer. That first drop is really insane goodness! I love it.
The G-forces are awesome. High but realistic. This thing is a real monster.
O: A lay-out I have never seen before (it was very cool and good-looking), the placing of the elements are nicely done; finaly not that drop -> inverion effect again so they aren't the most important thing in the track.
Conclusion: I'm going to back-up this thing so I won't lose this baby. I totally LOVE it!
This is the best NL track ive seen! great technical work, very smooth. amazing scenery and colour scheme. i loved this ride keep up this great work, nothing bad to say about this ride! the custom supports were cool to this must have took along time to create.
Well I may not rate with numbers much but I know when a ride could get straight tens from me and its extremely rare. This was beyond my expectations.
The custom footers, connectors and flanges are a feat by themselves and look great. The rest of the 3ds is excellent and creative. I think there is the best fog and tunnel use here I have ever seen.
As for the track itself its great, flowing with a good layout, spectacular drops and I've always loved use of a loop as a final element on the few times I've seen it.
Its so realistic it could all be built too, so yeah I think you should be really proud.
T: I did not see one technical problem at all.. the ride was simply perfect. Everything I could possibly think of, that may have been bad, you had it covered.
A: Almost every inch of this ride was full of excitment. If not excitment, it was anticipation, of what was coming next. Element, after element. This ride has everything.
0: The 3ds. in this coaster was amazing.. I have tried to do some coasters with it, and it turns to crap. The first drop was absolutely brilliant. You guys did an amazing job with themeing, supports, and overall design of the ride. In my opinion, this ride was more than what I expected.
