Tundra is new-gen Vekoma sit down coaster with a wintry theme, set in a small town inspired by traditional Nordic architecture. The ride is just shy of 1200m / 3900ft in length and features a 34.4m/113ft, 117?? beyond vertical drop and 6 inversions:
T - Really solid work as we've come to trust from you. The shaping and transitions were all spot on to the style you were aiming to achieve. My only complaint is the small wiggle on the first major drop where it goes vertical. Just like what happens with vertical loops in FVD++ sometimes, deleting a few roll points at the problem area would clear it up.
A - Great pacing, fun element order, and some really neat interactions with the surrounding scenery. That first drop after the corks sets a good tone, and the rest of the ride doesn't let up. The helix through the ice cave entrance rides better than pictures might suggest; really fun in there. The last couple of bunny-hop hills after the bow-tie might only be as fun as they are because they hug the ground so well, suggesting a lackluster ending as compared to the fervent front half of the ride.
U - Overall this ride stands out as a unique structure for its composition of elements, theme, and ride interactions. No complaints, and this ride would certainly keep people coming back.
R - Almost flawless. Supports look really nice, and although I can't see the g-force readouts, I think I can trust your style and build technique enough to assume things don't get too hairy.
RV - A worthy flagship of any park. As said before, this ride would be a front-runner for most popular just about anywhere. The scenery work really elevates this project as a whole, but the ride by itself offers something of its own.
I was pleasantly impressed by the entirety of this coaster. My first thought, as I walked to the queue was, this scenery is beautiful and I still had 60 fps. then although I thought it was a little long, the queue had some great views of the coaster and I loved the underground fly by area. The ride itself was awesome intense, unexpected elements around every turn. It made me feel like I was blowing around in a blizzard. Bravo!
Stunning ride PvM, you've definitely become one of my favourite designers!
Layout was really good, loved the dive through the queue line and the sunken bowtie element - only really gripe was the transitition into the first proper drop which felt a little too snappy for my liking.
Scenery waas fantastic and very immersive - only real thing I noticed was that the queue line could've benefitted from some capping stones on the drywall sections.
