For once, it is rather peaceful in the land of Fódlan. The Kingdom, Empire, and Alliance are all existing in coherence with one another and the common enemies of all three nations seem to be at bay for now. So, what is there to do for fun around here? And, with monastery graduation fast approaching, what can the leadership of Garreg Mach provide to test the skills and determination of the students in case a threat does come along?
The answer lies within the outskirts of Fódlan in an abandoned war outpost. Jeralt and Rhea, along with the leaders of the three houses, have planned a new annual festival called the Fódlan Fling. In this daring event, students will board the chariot resembling their house and ride into "battle." Tests of speed, endurance, and combat skill will be at hand. Those who have the needed skills will be able to impress the houses' exacting leadership while those who do not may find them less than amused.
