Guys,

When it comes to legal issues with the site please consult with me before crafting a policy.

Coaster Crazy does not act upon legal threats other websites may have received. If there is a specific legal complaint directed towards the site, our legal counsel will advise and respond in kind.

We are not in a position, nor do we desire to be in the position, to determine what coaster photos our users upload or link to were taken legally or illegally within a given jurisdiction. If another party has an issue with content on this site, there are specific legal avenues that they need to take to communicate those to us.

Nastygrams as they are called are designed to intimidate those who are less familiar with the law. They are sometimes used when there is no legitimate legal recourse available and they have to hope that the other party feels threatened enough to comply with ones demands. It's always funny how people react when they get a certified letter in the mail that has a bunch of legal words thrown in it but in reality it's not worth the paper its written on.

Sometimes these lead to what they call a Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation, or SLAP lawsuit. Judges generally frown upon corporations bullying the little guy and filing frivolous lawsuits, especially when the other party is a pauper defendant. Lawyers can be disbarred for engaging in behavior involving issues of moral turpitude. If we receive a nasty gram, we will post it to this site. If there is specific guidance given by our counsel in response to direct communication from Cedar Fair, we will advise you at that time. Until then there is not an issue.

Previous turn was 123ft. People have done the math and have estimated that this new turn is around 160ft.

I still think the drop from that area will be some kind of weird S-turn.

Just curious. What counts as illegal pictures? Is the road that goes around public or only owned by CP(I realize that the only reason you would use that road is to be at the park or take pictures, but if its a public road they can't really do anything). IMO Cedar Point's marketing team kind of created this monster with this picture the thing. For the last few projects they have teased the projects in a way that they almost wanted people to take pictures, and holding off the announcement, when it's clearly happening( sort of like Outlaw Run and SDC) is to me kind of silly. Either way though its looking to be a neat ride so far
What are these for?

You can always take your boat out into the bay or take a 500mm lens and shoot from the mainland dock. There used to be a pretty decent webcam pointed at the peninsula from the mainland, but it's been online for quite some time now.

Thanks to Kyle Sloane for this photoshop. The ledgers seem to indicate that the track will bank back to normal on the way down.

I think the fact that this hill is unbanked increases the likelihood that the first drop will feature some kind of inversion. Just a feeling looking at the rest of RMC's portfolio.

I don't think its a marketing issue so much as an issue with people trespassing on a construction site to get pictures. You should never trespass on private property. More importantly you should never trespass on a construction site as you have not been briefed as to what hazards exist, including hazards you may not be able to see. Serious injury or death could occur.

While every parks legal department wants a legal disclaimer about park photographs, no park in the history of the world has ever sued a paying customer over photos used for non-commercial purposes. It's free publicity. Disney does from time to time prohibit people from bringing in professional grade equipment, but that's mainly because the paparazzi are mob harassing some VIP to a point it's a safety / relations issue.

You should probably ask yourself, what did somebody really do to earn a nasty gram. My bet it's something more then just pictures and this is the way it was spun to save face. Also it should be pointed out that there are still events taking place at Cedar Point and there is no indication that Cedar Point is prohibiting people from taking pictures at them.

Drones have increasingly become a problem as well. There was an incident involving forest fires where a helicopter was almost taken out by a drone.

Personally I think drones on anyone's private property should be taken out swiftly for comedic effect, but that's just me. Luckily most of them are a mobile completely unsecured wifi hotspot....

Seriously gorgeous. That hill is ridiculously enormous. The size of the lift hill is going to give me an aneurysm. Cedar Fair is like "we're like........... in here."
X2 ??? Intimidator 305 ??? Millennium Force ??? Iron Rattler ??? El Toro ??? Fury 325 ??? Maverick ??? Skyrush ??? Twisted Timbers ??? Voyage
