Why the hell are they putting GCI trains on a coaster from the 1920s?
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

^Exactly my initial reaction. One of the most seemingly pointless decisions i've seen recently. Plus with the "extensive" retrack, you're probably going to lose that classic feel. Thumbs down.

The only classic feel this ride had was constant jackhammering.

Well track and supports have been removed from the straight section before the triple up to the last hill of the triple up.

I heard from people who rode it this year. At that area it made a really loud bang everytime. Let's hope it gets properly restored into something good!

Those picks make me really nervous. Hope they do a good job.

Yeah it was definitely rough this year. It's still my favorite part of the ride though. Can't wait to go back in Spring.

So some news from the offseason tour. Wildcat is getting a lot of new track and support work including a new switch track to accommodate the new two trains which are apparently arriving in late April. Wildcat will also be getting new color-changing lights similar to Phobia's as well. BD's triple up will officially become a double up with a small hill before it according to the new plans. New wood can be seen on BD's first drop as well.

New double up:

Huge thanks to BoulderDash on TPR for these. Full album here.

They......built track over rocks? <3 <3 <3

The reprofile looks pretty cool! Even it's not as good as the triple-up was, it's still an improvement over the trick track.

Work continues on both rides. Wildcat is going to open Memorial Day weekend and the trains are arriving April 17th!

Boulder Dash's double up is now complete. The ride is supposed to start testing soon. The trains now have new restraint mechanisms that double the clicks. Hopefully you will still be able to keep it pretty loose.

From the looks the triple up is gone and back to a double up?

Apparently. I'm more curious about the extensive rebuild on the other wooden ride. Practically the whole top of the lift is getting rebuilt.

It was never a double up. Originally it was trick track which GCI remade into a triple up which is now a double up with a hill before it.

Wow I don't like them. They don't really fit with the whole "classic coaster" aspect. Like Millennium Flyers fit, because they're designed from classic trains. But the graphics on the side and front...
Ok but how desperate you have to be to voluntarily fly from another country to go to Thorpe?

It's an attempt at being modern. I admit they're a bit loud but I don't think they're that bad.

I like the stickering on the train so far. Definitely enhances the Wildcat theme.

I love how BDash now has sections from 3 different manufacturers; and each do supports differently.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.
