Looks like High Roller is getting some major retracking right before the first turnaround. Never thought that part of the ride was rough but still nice to see them giving it some love.

Renegade is also getting retractable seatbelts for this season. That should definitely help speed up loading times.

High Roller retracking in that spot could be because they had to rebuild some of the supporting structure. It looks like they've replaced quite a bit there.

Rode North Star for the first time today, fun ride! Great views of the park and local area, lots of wind in your face, and I think it's better than the Windseekers. Overall a good addition to Valleyfair.

Also, while riding Excalibur, I noticed some orange and pink flags/markers on a few of the supports. Also worth noting that pretty much every ride in the park has a new automatic spiel except for Excalibur. Not saying this is its last year, but I guess it's a possibility.

Edit: My bad, Excalibur does have an auto-spiel, they just didn't use it until the afternoon.

I would laugh so hard. I think it'll end up at MiA

I'm telling you, next year they will remove Dinosaurs Alive to make room for a record setting B&M inverted coaster.

Rumor I heard is that all Cedar Fair Dinos are on a seven-year contract. VF added theirs in 2013 so they should be staying through at least 2019.

The plan has been for Excalibur to be replaced by a waterpark parking lot so I don't think we have to worry about Boomerang coming here.

I'm participating in the Run and Ride this Saturday and I'll be riding North Star obv, super excited. It looks sweeeet. THEY ARE NOT GETTING THE DAMN BOOMERANG. I would take matters into my own hands if that was ever announced......

Star Flyers are fun. Does this one go up the tower, go down to the halfway point, and then go back up? The smaller ones at SFGADV and SFOG run like that.

It doesn't go all the way to the halfway point, but yes it does go down and then up again.

Really?? Dang. I've only been on Texas Skyscreamer, I had no idea some models did that. That's cool.

Yeah the smaller models do that. Texas Skyscreamer and NESS are too big to do that lol.

I like that. 230 feet isn't the tallest in the world but it has the appearance of being insanely tall at this park, so that will make the experience even better.

Looks like the plans to build the new parking lot/remove Excalibur may have been approved.

That sucks, Excalibur was a damn fun ride. Personally I hope for a relocation of this ride, but seeing it's a hybrid. I doubt it.
