Is there a steel auto support generator to download somewhere. Is there even such a thing?

Yes, there is. It's included in the NL toolbox (http://gravimetricstudios.com/software/ ... /index.cfm).

Just use custom supports though. The auto support generator for steel supports only places prefabs on the track. And prefabs are only realistic for certain coaster styles, and even then only in certain places.

Don't worry, you got plenty of steel supports in that NoLimits editor of yours.

That's if you own NL, assuming you do from your comment.

Also on the topic of steel support generators, isn't there a tool that changes wood supports to steel? I've wondered if there is such a thing, or if people just re-make the supports by hand using steel beams...[xx(]

You can do that within the NL-Editor, MPi.

Select the tubes you want to change, chose the steel tube type you wnat to change them to, then use
Menu: "Supports/Transform Selected Tubes". Done.

Yea that feature doesn't work on macs though redunzelizer. Oddly enough the "Transform Selected Tubes" option is still there :/, even though it doesn't work.

...really? That's sad...I thought it was some tool.[:p] I don't think I'm going to use that soon, because I like building steel more than woodies...but I have a woodie coming out, and I'd like to keep it wooden.

And don't select them individualy, use a dragging selection box or use the select all function. This can also be used to move the entire track (but not terrain unfortunately.)

brtn, are you ever goign to give it up and get a PC?

it might be a steel maker but some things you don't know yet:
- adds prefabs in like 3 sec
- adds support collisions
- looks messy

So i'd rather advice just to place your own prefabs then, ok, it's 1-2 min work. But deleting collisions is more work then quickly place some yourself...
