that could be fun, as long as it's build over the edge

or why arn't they going for the new type of mack. Inverted coaster with only lapbars and then you can control the rotation yourself [:)] Add a 45 degree turn over the edge of the tower, and you have enough thrill you show how high you are [:D]

You know instead of having a coaster on top of the tower like the old one they should put an inverted just under the ring on the top.

What about a Top spin most of the ride facing you right of the edge of the tower.

How about an Intamin Impulse? It'd be awesome going backward up the spike with nothing below you.

The original plans for High Roller called for the track to go out over the edge of the tower, dip, then come back. The zoning board would not allow it, citing safety reasons. Apparently, the likelihood of stuff flying off the ride (hats, glasses, whatever) was too great, and such an object would be deadly to someone on the ground if they got hit by it.

I'm not sure how they get around XScream and Insanity going past the edge, although both those rides were put in long after High Roller's design was finalized. It might be that the rules have changed.

At any rate, I'd be pretty surprised to find that an inverted coaster would be allowed to sail out past the edge.... unless, perhaps, you were required to remove your shoes before riding.
My body isn't a temple. It's an amusement park.
