To answer the questions,

1) It all depends on the round. The most you would have is 3, the least is 1. The curveballs can range from being super easy to even adding a new coaster the mix... ;) I may be exaggerating a bit but I guess you will have to wait and see.

2) Clearance is tricky. For catwalks and all that it doesn't matter. Clearance will be measured on if your coaster hits the track. There are exceptions however such as arrow since they do have very minimal clearance.

Hope this helps!

What are the rules about posting progress?
What are these for?

No rules at all! Feel free to update the threads as you would like :) We love seeing your progress on the designs!

On another note:

I absolute love hearing about all of your ideas for the first round! I am looking forward to viewing your submissions!

Well as promised, it is time for your first ever curveball for round 1!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CURVEBALL ROUND 1 #1

Since this is your first curveball I decided to go easy...

Your first curveball given to you is that along with designing your coaster, your coaster must now have a water feature. Weather it goes over a lake briefly, to fountain effect, to even a waterfall. It must have a water type feature implanted in the design. Note: for your coaster to be judged it must have these curveballs in the park file. So therefore you MUST have a water feature in your submission. Stay tuned for your next curveball on Friday, February 26th!

Good luck!

Good choice for a curveball. I was thinking of having water surrounding my coaster anyways.

So, do we still need to make a coaster combining two manufacturers?

**opens NL2**
**goes to terrain tab**
**randomly moves a chunk of land downwards near the track**

I got this.

Yes. You do that as well as implementing the curveballs into the design. Good luck!

How are you measuring minimum / maximum height? Max height minus Min Height? Or will you measure from the ground?

I think it is like: Top of the lift (height) minus Bottom of the lift (height) :)

So... maximum height from the ground minus minimum height from the ground at any given point?

Here's what I'm going for. It's an Arrow designed B&M looper.

Thanks for clarification.

I've cobbled together 2/3 of a layout for an Intamin Suspended RMC.

When Roller Coaster Corporation of America was fired from the Son of Beast project, they were still trying to build and design an inverting coaster. So, when Michael Black, RCCA's president and his family went to Yomiuriland in Japan, they met people from Togo. Then, Mr Black talked with Togo about the company's idea to build an inverting roller coaster. They said yes because they already worked together for the White Canyon construction. So, in 2001, work started for a new state of the art roller coaster designed by Togo and built by RCCA. The steel parts of the ride were provided by Togo. It was one of their last roller coaster built before they went bankrupt because of the Knott's Berry Farm lawsuit.

Here was the skyline of the park when the steel parts of the ride were installed:

Your images don't work. I would use gyzao and take a screenshot then click share and copy the direct link and then paste the link like shown.

That should help your pictures come up. I changed your last one to a gyazo and it showed up fine.

On another note I love your backstory!

Also, the second curveball comes out tonight at midnight EST. Stay tuned!
