Can someone make simple buldings for me. Sorta like store front type buildings with signs on top.[launch][peakhill]

I need one thats 20 meters high and 40 meters long, with a sign on top.
And another that's 10 meters high, and 20 meters long, with a small sign on top.

You can fancy them up with windows and doors too. just not too fancy.
I'd be very thankfull to anyone who can make these. Just PM me aboot it. thanks.[^]

The gravimetric object creator is pretty easy to use. I am using it to create a tunnel and station platform for a coaster right now. You should really make stuff yourself instead of having other people make it for you or stealing other people's objects.

I know how to use Gmax, I just can't find a file converter unless I want to pay 100 bucks.

There's biturn somewhere. But I don't have the url, try googling "bi-turn". I'm not sure if it can convert gmax stuff, if not, you way want to use anim8or. OC IMO is kind of crappy, just good for stealing textures [:)] especially since I don't know how to make wood.

I'm ok with anim8or, that's probably what you want to use as a beginner. Or maybe you want to start with OC. Be sure to read the manuals and the tutorials online for anim8or.

Anim8or is very hard at first. Well not very hard, but alot harder than OC. I use both. I use different ones for different types of objects. I tend to swap between the two.

I always use anim8or now, unless there's a very rare case where texture mapping would work better in OC. OC doesn't let you create things that require spherical objects. Also, if you import something from OC into anim8or, the points are not connected properly and the smooth shading get's messed up.

Currently, anim8or has some very annoying drawbacks. First of all, it doesn't support png texturing, and there is no way to use alpha textures. It also doesn't export smoothshading properly into 3ds, and the env maps are also left out when you export, so you can't utilize NL's env mapping capability.
