Here's a look at the complete layout. Work on the supports is going well, and it looks like an upload tonight is reasonably likely.

Yea, this is my first attempt with Newton 2. Hadn't originally planned to release it, but was happy enough with the trackwork to support it and release it.

Well, I can't tell all of secrets...but I will say that the loop is a multi-zone with 3 normal zones and 1 banking and no laterals. The 2nd inversion really isn't an immelman.

Again, a multi-zone force. A constant g-force for most of the rolling section (Don't have the newton file open, but I think it was about 2g), then increating from that to about 4, starting near the peak of the roll and then continuing on to about the vertical point of the loop, then constant G into the rest of the layout.

Because he doesn't want to reveal that his shaping is totally off. Why does your drop have like 4 pumps?

Edit: This image was created by Oscar and is a defining example of why pissing him off leads to bad things.

The two pics aren't at exactly at the same angle, so of course there will be some difference. I'm not going to discuss this furthur, by allowing my WIP thread to be hijacked by your non-constructive ego-masturbation.

Then why'd you use them to compare if they aren't accurate?

You asked for and you shall receive. Here is the most constructive criticism you'll get from anyone on this site and you better be happy you're getting it.
1. Your drop has like 4 sections to it, it should be fluid. I can see what you're going for and I've never been able to pull it off myself but I know it ain't right by looking at it.
2. Your loop entrance/exit looks too "nice" and drawn out. or you squashed the top of the loop. Come to think of it the first 3/4 of it may be fine but it may be ruined by a crap exit.
3. Super heartlined immelman. You seriously put that on this sucker?

Honestly you've just built an Intamin shaping wise with a funky loop. Can't you see that?

You do know that Stengel did all of Schwarzkopf's engineering before he went out on his on, right? Not that I'm slavishly trying to represent any particular style, just throwing that out there...

If you watch this video:

Notice how the drop actually has a few distinct points where the profile changes? Mine rides very similarly, although I finish banking as the drop pullsout, rather than just after, but that was an intentional choice.

Can any of us actually say intamin has a single type of shaping? as weird as that company is, seems to me their shaping is ever changing. i may be wrong. I'm no pro...

It is always changing, and it has never been - nor do I ever see it being - like this ride.

Meh why waste your time? Just use a bump transition for the Normal force and then tweak it a little with the timewarp.

Ok, its not as good as i thought. Your loop is nasy, no offense, just criticism. It is squished down on the top. Also, im not too sure about that drop, its kinda rough. I think u should take a little more time to mess with newton before you go and make a coaster with it.

Well, if we examine the loop element, we see that its radius of curvature is a bit pumpy. The radius is smallest at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions, but becomes larger at the 12 o'clock position. If you notice in the photo of the real loop, the radius is almost constant in the top half of the loop. The radius fins in newton2 (display settings) were designed to aid in situations like this (you can thank the beta testers such as dcs211 for that request). If you haven't seen it already, I'd suggest watching my loop tutorial where I discuss this very issue.

...you mean, because it's a dive loop?

The ride does look kinda cool, to see an element such as a dive loop in this tyope of coaster is unusual and therefore good. But the shaping around the place does seem a bit funky, like the pumps on the drop?

But w/e, I'm not too fussed about all that stuff, if the ride is good, well layed out, good mix of elements good adrenaline etc... then shaping isn't that important.

Entrophy... I actually went in and measured the raidus using AHG. At the vertical points it's 7.25m, and at the top it's 6.9m.

Its funny because Ive been using Radius fins (on the full construction kit) for years now so thats just second nature to me. lol.

Its your entrance and exit points Tyler. They should be lower, producing a more circular shape.
