Some of you may remember a ride I did nearly two years ago. That was the original Aeroplane Bobs. It was an incredible layout, featuring a thrilling blend of airtime into a delightfully twisted Travereque layout. The turns also looked more like eggs than circles. That was then this is now. Aeroplane Bobs Mk II has been totally rebuilt. Most of the layout follows the orignal quite closely, except the ending which has been moved inside the exisiting structure to a greater degree, to enhance thrills. Work is about 75-80% complete right now. If i'm lucky, I'll get it up today. Here are some pics.

The first drop. Completly wicked. 61 degrees. 115ft. -0.8 vertical and 1.2 lateral in the back seat.... at the same time!

Looking very nice. I have the rare Traver book from ACE that was published I think in the 80's and it has the areoplane layout, was planning on redoing that some day.

Such a great book. I paid like 45 for it, but worth every penny. The pictures are priceless and the stories / techincal stuff is awesome.

Just dont make it TOO smooth. Try to keep your lead ins under 6 or 7. 10 is just too long.
