There was a reason why Cedar Point removed their heartline roll / why Maverick's roll was removed.

Well as far as what you can make out of the video the heartline roll seems pretty realistic. The roll is also elevated so I'm sure it isn't as intense as Maverick's.

It's good to see some SM tracks flying around. It's so rare to find one now-a-days. This ride seems pretty solid, looks thrilling and fun. I'm looking forward to seeing more.

I think it looks worse than Maverick's. It twists around in a really weird fashion, seems like it pulls a TON of forces.

Nice vid/promo ... but only 59 mph?

Sometimes the best thing to say is nothing at all.

Dude, that heartline roll is so poorly heartlined! Fix that!

But cool promo.

I heartlined the roll the best I could and it may seem a little akward, but it's heartlined. The roll sustains an average amount of G's as the train passes through it at 40MPH. The heartline roll pulls 3.3 G's and 1.6 Lats for a brief second. This ride may only be 59MPH, but it's not your typical coaster! [:p]

1.6 Lats is too much for an Intamin. And if the one in the video is the final roll you're going to have, it isn't heartlined at all.

Ok I've studied pictures of Hydra: The Revenge's jojo roll for about an hour and tried to heartline the roll better. I managed to get the G's down in the heartline roll to these specs:

Max Positive G's = 3.3
Max Negative G's = -0.3
Max Left Lat = -0.4
Max Right Lat = 1.4

Pictures are below. Please give me any tips that you may have:

Have the begining of the turn/end of barrel roll pulled lower a little more and a bit to the left (the left in the angle of the last pic. It will help the lats

I did what you said and it lowered the Max Right Lat to 1.3, but raised the Max Left Lat to -0.6. What should I do?

If i were you, i would turn it into an immelman rather than a heartline. Look at the 2nd pick.... it looks very akward, almost like a flatspin over a heartline. Try starting it lower, making it straighter and then having it curve down and out like an immelman. That way you get a brand new type of inversion and it should lower the lats but at the same time increase the negatives..... thats just my opinion ;-)
