Hello everyone, i'd like to reintroduce myself as a 3D maker. I've been making NL rides now since around 2001, and i'm now coming to realise that i'm running out of steam. I seem to have lost the ability to finish a ride. I get them to 90% finished and then loose all inspiration and seem to be able to make it to any higher standard that i see as 100% done. But what i do seem to do, is spend hours making the 3D's for the ride, which I love and cant seem to get enough of. I really like my 3D work, probably something to do with my dream of becoming an Architect. But what good are my 3D's if I dont have a ride to submit them with?

So what i'm going to do, is offer my services to everyone and anyone, if you use NL and want 3D's for your latest ride then either PM me or make a post in this thread. All i ask is that you give credit to me for the 3D work i do.
I will also place a small tag in the model somewhere. Probably an ArcTec badge that will be seen in everything i do.

I mainly focus on architectural work, like buildings and stations but i can also do switch tracks, rocks trees and tunnels etc.

I'm thinking of releasing a few stations ive made with the track in them on the exchange for people to use as the start to their rides.

Ok. I would love love to have a station, with of course giving you all the credit for. Maybe some 3Ds. If i find a ride in my files i've created that seems worth, i will be sure to shoot you up a pm.
You expecting something not being here?

I said around 2001. If i thought it was worth searching back to when i actually started with a fine toothed comb i would have.

I use Sketchup Pro and then Anim8or to sort the textures. I just get on with Sketchup really well.

What would you say about me giving you a basic skeleton for a station that I want, and you tweaking it to make it professionalish?

I could swear it was released in 2000-2001. I graduated HS in June 2001 and I found NL after looking up Millennium Force stuff. I also remember this because I found it while working at a computer repair shop. I was only there about 3-4 months and I went to UPS shortly after that. I think NL was about 6mon to a year old when I got into it and that was EARLY 2002 when I purchased it.

Haha cheers, an old friend of mine from C2K came up with it.

Sounds great and might send you to the front of the queue with AJ Clarke. Let me know what theme you want and the ride name etc. Put it all in a text file when you send me your ride. I'll PM you my email.

Sounds easy enough, but i need you to be more specific with sizes etc. Maybe if you sent me your ride and use supports to mark out where you want you tunnel and where you want your station. I work to scale so sizes are important to me. I'll PM you my email.

How are your polygon counts? My PC is as old as NL, so...the heaviest 3DS ride it can handle is Thunderhead Falls. It'll be awhile, but I'll hit you up when I have finished ride worth uploading.

Thank you for your services.

Oh, and I'd trademark ArcTec asap. You never know who's reading these posts.

Onjin, polygon counts are reasonable, my comp has never had any problems. But they my comp is all 5.9 as far as windows scoring is concerned. I had an old laptop which couldn't handle high polygon counts so i've learned to make rides in a fps concerned world. Nowadays my 3D's are big and complex. But if i do some for you ill keep the count down.

OinzCEO, i look forward to it my man!

Update:

Work is going well on AJClarkes ride, reached the half way mark now. So with new jobs on the horizon I thought i'd post the queue list to let people know where they are and to remind people to get in the queue if they want 3D work from me.

AJClarke- in progress, 1st place
Jackizle- cheeky quicky, 1st/2nd place
HighThrills- idea recieved, 2nd place
C Dude- idea recieved, 3rd place
YamiHub- waiting on idea, 4th place
Boneplaya- waiting on idea, 5th place
Onjin- waiting on idea, 6th place
OinzCEO- waiting on idea, 7th place

Following my experience with AJClarke i've realised that things are much easier when you have a track file. So i'm going to make it a requirement that you send me a track file and if you are specific on how you want your ride done, then you must also mark out your rough idea with supports. Or simply allow me free reign. If you want a certain look or theme, i prefer links to images showing what you mean or be specific in your explanation. Or just give me free reign.

This queue is not set in stone and can change. If you know what you want and meet the requirements ive set out then you can jump infront of someone who has not met the requirements.

Erm... the buildings are easy. But the track work parts in 3D can be done in 2mins if you did it with NL supports.
I'm not really clear on what you are after cool5, please elaborate?

lol...
