Uhm, ST had a pretty awesome finale... Many small hills, and the only spot where you could catch some air on the entire ride... if you were lucky...
But yeah, that diving under the support struicture was amazing!
Katuns wingover-tunnel-wingover-awesome helix finale, and Blue Tornados final helix (it's a slc+) are cool too!

Montu's corkscrew/wingover/whatever-you-wish-to-call-it was a nice ending, especially considering that it seemed to come out of practically nowhere following a series of turns. The fact that it's partially underground only enhances the surprise, and riding in the back does as well.

Of course, Maverick's finale was great fun as well, especially the S-hill maneuver under the lift hill (if I'm not mistaken, although I'm somewhat unfamiliar with Maverick's layout... all I remember is that you definitely see the lift hill as you're coming up to the S-hill). I just wish that the heartline roll were still there.

Yeah, Apollo's last drop is excellent, one of the best on the ride. They do such an awesome job of setting it up too, which just makes it better. IMO no other designer can/has pulled off flat track like B&M.

After riding Renegade this year I have to agree with Gerstl about that ending. Now that the ride has broken in (it's gotten much faster than last year) that last turn up to the brakes has the strongest lats on the whole ride. Maybe not the best ending, but a great one.

Of coasters that Ive ridden, I would have to say Raptor...those final two helixes are awesomely intense.

Best finales:
Maverick - The Stengel dive and the strong ejector air pop that follows are pure perfection.
The Beast - Insane laterals in that tunnel. :)
Kraken - Love the tunnel and the corkscrew that immediately follows.
Flight of Fear - Similar to Kraken, has a nice corkscrew right before the brakes.

Worst finales:
Adventure Express - Lift hill builds lots of anticipation but only leads to a turn into the final brakes.
Wild Thing - Those darn mid-course brakes ruin what could be a great ending.
Mean Streak - The whole ride is boring, but the ending is especially a snoozer.

Best:
-Firehawk (or anything with inline twist(s) at the end, really)
-The Beast. Speed+laterals+claustrophobic tunnel over the ending helix
-Lightning Run-the last 3 bunny hops feel more intense than the rest of the ride and are not recommended for anyone planning on being a father, and then the lateral jolt into the brakes reminds me of wooden coasters
Worst:
Adventure Express-same reason as stated above, tho the animatronics pumping their fists up and down is kinda memetic among KI fans
Rides that I haven't been on but have awesome looking finales:
Lightning Rod-the quadruple down looks insane
Colossus (or any other similarly formulaic looping coaster)-similar reason as the above mentioned inline twists

This bump is obnoxious and my original post is horrendous. Renegade and Kumba have tragic endings...

I haven't been on it yet, but I will be riding it next month: Storm Runner has an awesome finale that I look forward to. El Toro too, which I will also be riding during that trip.

Of the rides I have been on: Iron Rattler and Maverick have wicked finales. Maverick's is majorly out of control and Iron Rattler has awesome airtime off the cliff and ridiculous lats and airtime into the final brakes when riding in the front.
And Full Throttle is a huge winner when it comes to finales.
1-Millennium Force | 2-Intimidator 305 | 3-Fury 325
4-Skyrush | 5-Iron Rattler | 6-X2 | 7-Kingda Ka
8-Voyage | 9-Maverick | 10-Monster

HELIX Liseberg

I always think the second launch is the ending of it. After launch 2 it is pretty quickly in the station again.
The launch that launches the train very high up in the air again with a very lovely air time after it.

Kanonen Liseberg

Its already the ending when getting into the train xD

I like to go for an Intamin's hard braking and the smooth lead-out of a turn without a wobble caused by poor transitions!

:)

Nemesis is pretty good, the high turn lulls you into a false sense of security before a great last inversion.

Phantom's revenge @ Kennywood. Best airtime ever.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

Voyage. Beast still a great ending, only good part left of ride.

Also, the Old Texas Giant comes to mind. That ending was crazy back in the day!

Magnum and Maverick whoop your ass pretty good at the end.

Silver Bullet and Maverick... both surprisingly incredible.
Ok but how desperate you have to be to voluntarily fly from another country to go to Thorpe?

I don't have much to compare to as far inverts go, but Talon's finale is my favorite, the wingover into that helix is awesome. Phoenix's last 3 bunny hops are probably on this list already. Kraken was another notable one for me.
What are these for?

I don't know if that counts since the ride is so short; It's like saying TTD's drop is a great finale. My personal favorite is FoF @ KI. Thing just picks up speed and ends completely out of control.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

Beast's final spiral is insane.

Maverick's Stengel dive, s hill and final airtime hill are very forceful.

Raptor's corkscrew-helix finale is very intense.

It's impossible to pick one, but some of my favorites:

-Beast, which ends with one of the best helixes I've experienced
-Flight Deck at CGA, which ends with a quick corkscrew into a low helix over water
-The two Flight of Fear coasters, which are probably the only coasters that increase in intensity toward the end of the ride
-Mystery Mine, with a beyond vertical drop-heartline roll-dive loop rapid-fire finish
-Riddler's Revenge, which constantly feels like it is about over before throwing one more element at you
Coaster Count: 535 (114 wood, 444 steel); Park Count: 110
Top 5 Wood: El Toro, Voyage, Thunderhead, Outlaw Run, Boulder Dash
Top 5 Steel: Superman the Ride, Fury 325, Millennium Force, X2, Intimidator 305
