Im back (did ya miss me?[;)]) with a new coaster. This time its a CCI woodie which will prbaly have the steel supports stucture. Its 131 feet tall and max banking is 102 FRICKEN DEGREES!!![:O] And it also has massive amounts of AiRtImE!!! The layout is still in progress but is comming along nicley. Very smooth and fast paced. So just tell me what you think.[approve] (and if you wanna test what ive got so far feel free to ask)

http://nldc.interfix.net/i9738 <--as it is a CCI, I'm assuming you will be using PTC's. Are you sure the PTC cars will be able to negotiate that turn without any wheel binding? [;)]

Um, you cannot use regular supports on that overbank as the cross bars will be through the underside of the track where the side wheels need to traverse, thus causing a derailment. You need to use custom bracing and supports on that whole section, and I do not mean just laterally for support.

Watch what happens when you auto-support, it will NOT look like it should:

Tall........

No offence CK but that is the most un-CCI woodie i have seen? You really shouldnt say its a CCI. CCI take every oppotunity to put laterals in, and never bank their turns that highly. It really doesnt look like a CCI with that type of banking. It looks more GG or GCI than anything, not CCI. Looks good though. [:)]

Actually, no GG is banked that high either. Those 90 degree turns are basically there for gimicks, the rest have good lats. Since I know Jakizle just put it through the heartliner without specifing any banking, it will have 0 laterals. I'm also waiting for you to give up on this one...

Yeah he didnt give me any specific instructions when hearlining. I think custom bamnking and then AHging might be the way to go. That turn only has like .2 lats, i think it should have around 1 at the speed it goes.

well i could change the banking so its not as banked and then it should get some good lats and what not. then it could be a CCI isntead of a GG

Lets get this lateral G force controversy sorted out right now. GG = Good Lats; CCI = Great Lats; GCI = Not so good lats, Intamin = No lats.

No, if you want a true CCI feel and appearance I'd reccomend aiming for at least 1.6 lats, 1.5 is somewhat tame for a CCI, especially given the speed of some of the turns on your ride.

I would not drop it if I were you CK ... but you need to consider the comments you have been given. ;-)
