Ugh, I never meant to turn this thread into a "Is GCI forceless" debate, I just think that Cedar Point could use another wooden coaster before a dive coaster.

Dude ya'lls gotta get on Renegade if you're skeptical about GCI intensity

But also, dive machine > GCI, any day.

Oh, those are similar to Tempesto's OTSRs! Those are really comfortable!

First I305, now this; coasters previously though of as uncomfortable to some people because of the restraints are becoming much more comfortable; I think it's great! I hope Kingda Ka gets these restraints someday.

I have ridden a Gravity Group coaster yet, but from what I've heard, some of them have not aged very well (Hades 360, Voyage, etc.) That's partially why I think they should get an RMC or GCI woodie.

I am definitely hoping for a wooden RMC at the Point. No one can really say if RMC coasters will age well, they're too new. Given their technology, however...I think they stand a good chance. It seems pretty clear that GCI coasters are prone to deteriorating, though (not that they're alone, wooden coaster maintenance is a challenge across the board).

It's really not hard to build part of a ride over another ride, much like Rougarou's lift and drop is on top of Iron Dragon. They have a ton of space without removing any of the attractions they have now or messing with parking.

Than again it wouldn't surprise me to have more ride replacements instead of additions.

No way. Six Flags will not pay for this, the only chance this will happen to Ka is if Intamin forces it.

I gotta say, less than you think really. Sure they have tons of random spots but all they can put there is flat rides. Large coasters will pretty much all be replacements or built over top of other rides.

They could pull an RCT like Blackpool?

I believe they do have to replace the restraint every few years. Not saying whether it's possible or not, just that it would be nice :)

Yeah, I really see absolutely no downside to Intamin OTSRS getting replaced on intense rides. Now they would be comfortable for each and every rider! (Even tall guys like me)

Just a pro tip guys, ride and company reps are there before the park opens 90% of the time, they carry clipboards, and usually others are hanging around them.

Just my 2 cents from arriving at work one morning while a bunch of dudes were laying on the Mantis track measuring brakes, and other mornings when a dude with blueprints would go in the computer room.
