Hell, I wasn't just sitting there, I was yelling at all the stupid f**kers with their hands in the air to stop ruining an already boring ride.

There was one head-chopper with a support about half-way through that made me grin, but it was brief.

Because when something isn't as awesome as you expect, that's when disappointment is produced, genius...

Thats quite the...elitest and lamest attitudes. Also proves he wanted it to be no fun, so it was. MF is fun, but its by no means, to me, a top 10 ride. Not when so much else out there has so many more dynamics.

Take Beast. Could it be incredibly boring? Yup, if I sit there and complain the whole time. I can make it not fun. But its fun. Even though its one of the lamest woodies Ive been on, its still fun. This year it was smooth and fast but lacks 2 huge ingredients - directional change and airtime. So really, its just a lame design but STILL fun. At night, its pretty cool zippin through the woods.

I can have fun on any ride I choose to. Key word, choose. If you say a ride wasnt fun and it didnt beat you up, youre probably just reflecting attitude and trying to sound bad ass. Trust me, been there, done that. I can at least say MF is fun. But its not nearly the type of coaster Id say is amazing.

Thank you, I completely agree with everything you just said there. That's right everybody, it IS possible to not hate everything while on MF!

No kidding that's what disappointment is...I meant how could you go into a ride like MF and just make it boring for yourself the entire time???

Typically most people TRY to enjoy rides rather than yell at people who are enjoying it. If your gonna be like that and yell at everyone who is having a good time...stay the hell off of it and let someone who WANTS to wait 2 or 3 hours to have fun riding it sit there, and go ride something you enjoy. It's that simple.

Do I ride MF everytime I go? No. I enjoy many other rides much more. It doesnt make me scream or put my hands up or anything like that. Sometimes I sit there, relax and lay back. Its a relaxing ride. But I wont say its no fun.

Beast is in the same category. If I can sit through the whole ride and dont feel wowed, then its not gonna be a top echelon ride. Still doesnt mean it wasnt fun.

Rides that arent fun generally hurt you, but even those, sometimes those throw me around so much I tend to laugh at the absurdity of the ride and even that makes it better than MF. LOL

That's what I mean...the way pali says it...you would think MF is the worst ride ever and that anyone who enjoys it or likes it is insane.

I don't get it...I would think someone on a sight like this could at least enjoy the ride somehow...or keep quiet rather than saying "hey you who is enjoying themself...stop screaming and putting your arms up this is a dumb ride."

Has anyone else ever done that?

Ive exagerated a rides crappiness - but usually it makes people laugh. Like...

On Beast, on the LONG LONG straights, I act like Im rowing on the side of the train. On MF, Im usually sleeping for my photo. On Magnum (I love magnum) on the little drop right before the lift, Ill scream "OMG! Oh, wait...that wasnt the hill" usually gets a few chuckles. On Corkscrew I will scream bloody murder (kills my vocal chords to do it) and everyone below the midway looks up like "wtf is going on?!@#"

But its just me having fun - sometimes at the expense of a coaster I dont find that fun. But I find a way ;)

Well we almost all have done something to that effect...I mean have you ever yelled at anyone on a ride for having their hands up? Or screamed at peopl that it's a bad ride and not to enjoy it WHILE ur on it? LOL

^ Thats just stupid, if someone yelled at me to stop having fun (unless I'm doing something ignorant and obnoxious), then I would be very angry.

That's what I would feel...and I certainly wouldn't say anything like that to people...that doeasn't make sense to me.

Anyway...back to STR...any one else have thoughts on it?

I don't yell at the people raising their hands in the air because they're having fun on the ride that I'm not enjoying. I yell at them because it's f**kin annoying. I don't want to see your white, flabby arms flailing around in the air. The only reason you do it is to look macho in front of some guy you're gay for. Well guess what, you don't look macho, you look like a moron and you're ruining people's ride experiences. And photos, EVERY time I rode MF, and on many other coasters, mine and my acquantance's faces are obscured by some idiot's hands. Not that I care about the picture, but wouldn't you think that the park would? More people would buy pictures if their faces were in view. It's a matter of business.

I have yet to experience a ride where everybody is simply relaxing and enjoying it. Everybody has to scream.

"Holy s h i t, I'm having fun, AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

And everybody has to thrust their arms to the sky.

"I'm so f**kin brave, man!"

You see, the reason I mention the hands is not that I'm so miserable about the ride that I scorn people that aren't, it's just that one of the reasons I'm miserable during the ride is the hands.

I don't know why my simple statement that I don't like the ride went so far, but it shall end here.

So, back to discussion on Cedar Point's new s h i t t y Splash Mountain ride.

And why can't they just turn s h i t into sh*t or something, instead of having it turn into 'poop'? Makes me sound more like a retard than I already do. That's the last damned thing I need.

(I'm not this cranky all the time, just so you know.)

I put my hands up because it adds to the out of control feeling.

Real: I do a lot of that same stuff! The screaming on Magnum, which I also scream extremely shrill when the train is coming back across where the people walk under! Always confuses people. I also like to sit in the trains of almost any rain and go out of the station with an extremely un-pleased, miserable look on my face. It's so much fun doing things like that!

Oh, and I don't really like to put my hands up on rides. I don't hold on for dear life, but I don't raise my hands. I much rather just keep them down and enjoy the ride. It's much better for me. That and I only scream when it's unnecessary, haha.

Don't be such a sissy! People put their hands up because that makes them enjoy the ride. If you don't like it, deal with it. No one thinks it's a matter of "bravery" like you say, it just adds to the experience, for me.

To tell you the truth, yes. I am from Europe. But it matters not.

Normally, I just roll my eyes and except that most people are idiotic, I do. Sometimes, I explode, like all people do.

I thought we were finished with this discussion?
