Is the loop even part of the ride? Doesn't look like it.

Been there, done that. Loop isn't a part of the ride, it's just decoration:

Had to add these images of Pendolo which is one of my picks for Coaster Apocalypse lol! For riders this must be a pretty big fun but for visitors this seems like a WTF wagon scream machine!

Wanna know more?

1: http://rcdb.com/11667.htm#p=52798 - Showing what this ride looks like.
2: http://rcdb.com/11667.htm#p=52800 - Maybe the world's worst seatbelt, no, seat... chain!

Had fun?

Another been there, done that. The ride itself looks a lot worse than it rides. It runs extremely smooth and that vertical spike is pretty awesome. And as if the chain as seatbelt wasn't enough. You also have a shared iron restraint locking onto the car. I had to slide down in my seat to get it frickin' closed. Too tall upper body.

^ Well, which do you think is physically better, this one or "Tower of Terror" at Gold Reef City that gives the over 6g force impact?

Shitty ride with high cautions on kicking nearby supports during the ride and possibilities to grab track with your hands.

Fabbri is really interesting because their coasters are total ass but the flats they make aren't lol.

Even though it's a perfectly safe ride, Excalibur's structure has always looked very cheap-ish to me.

The older Arrow mine trains seem to use a structure that resembles an old railroad bridge to me. The wood is MUCH thicker than what is used on a modern wooden coaster. Remember that Gemini has a turn supporting two tracks cantilevered off the side of the structure on diagonal beams. The skid plates instead of upstop wheels are the ride are interesting as well. I wonder how Magnum was when it had skid plates.
