Hello everyone! This is the rebirth of my old NL1 monster of an invert that featured a wingrider-like drop. I really loved the concept, but the ride was too large. This new iteration is a much smaller and compact invert with forceful elements. Here are some shots! Tell me what you think along the lines of shaping etc.

I don't think that looks quite like a wingrider drop. The roll should be way earlier and start dropping while upside down.

Its not necessarily a wingrider drop; rather it is inspired by one. This drop fits the style much better, it has a nice twisting dive sensation.

Kinda misunderstood at first.
Actually I imagined what it would be like to go down such a drop like that, and I imagine it would be quite fun.

Make sure you don't kill people with a loop and a turn like that all in a row.

Drop looks really fun and intense, but I'm not sure about the turn after the loop. You coukd try to make it like the one in Patriot, unbanking it in the way up to the Zero G instead of before. Also make sure that it doesn't have too much G-Force. The drop-loop-turn could be too intense.

The turn pulls 3.8g's for a brief period. The entrance climaxes at 4.1gs, then the exit around 3.5gs. The transition into the turn goes down to around 1.8g's and then the turn pulls 3.8g's.

Here are more pictures of the progress I have made on the layout.

A pretzel loop into a helix.

After the helix, there is an airtime hill that dives below the lift, followed by low to the ground turns.

Update!

I have changed the layout after the pretzel knot. I replaced the helix for an overbank, which is followed by the same low to the ground turns, into a wingover, airtime hill, and turn into the brakes.

I like the color of the trains and the track! What color were you thinking for the supports?

I'm not too sure yet. My fallback colors are a dark gray or a metallic gray. I am willing to try out different options though.

The env will make the track darker so make it lighter and less saturated than what your aiming for and it will look good

I don't know why, just a hunch I guess, how would white supports look?

^What turn are you referring to? If it is the turn before the wingover, it rides well. The closest reference I can think of is the maneuvers before the wingover on The Great Bear at Hershey Park; but the maneuvers lead into an beyond 90 degree turn.

Here are some pictures of the support work!

^&^^ Thank you! I really love this color scheme (I love Great Bear's color scheme, which is what I based mine off of).

Any ways, I have modified the zero G roll supports. I am not sure whether or not the middle support is needed. I've seen the middle support on some inverts, while others do not have it.

screenshot-2014-05-23-21-48-03.png

AND... More progress! Supporting goes SO much faster in NL2. I would have finished more rides in NL1 if supporting was this fast.
