No? What cartoons have swear words anyways? South Park, Ren & Stimpy...

I like the humor found in Futurama.

BTW, put me down for one helping of "I don't give a crap..".

Not really. Politically incorrect humor in a cartoon, yes, but swears don't really add much.

It only ads to the humor if done correctly. Having character arbitrarily swear just for a laugh is usually obvious and therefore not funny. I do think swearing at innapropriate times in real life is very f#@ing funny!
Especially at the mother&#%^@$^%^@# grocery store or on the God&%$# beach.

I was thinking the same thing, but you'll get used to it after awhile on this site. Anyway...

I beleive as many of you guys do as well. If they are used in the right context, then it is funny. If the cartoon is just swearing for no reason whatsoever (which I have seen before) it may be funny at first, but then it could get repetitive.

I do enjoy Family Guy, Simpsons, and Futurama. For the most part they use their swear words at the right time. Even though I do enjoy South Park, I have seen a few episodes were the cursing is extremely repetitive.

No, swearing does not make cartoons funny. Good writing does.

I find any swearing in Family Guy is hilarious and always well done. With South Park, I tend to find you expect the swearing and you really don't take much notice

Depends on what cartoon we're talking about. Like south park yes swear words make it funny. Lonney Tunes no.

^You are among the last people who ought to be commenting on grammar, especially when it was just a simple typo. At least riccoaster's post was readable, whereas yours is of no use to this conversation.

I think Looney Toons cursing and swearing would be hilarious. Simply because they're not supposed to as it's a children's show.

But, I think it can add and detract from the hilarity of a show. It all depends on how it's used. As already stated, just thought I'd re-iterate my opinion.

^They're not Looney Tunes anymore... they're Lizoony Tizzunes, to appeal to today's hip urban youth... "That's all, bitches!"

There... part of what made that Robot Chicken sketch funny was clever writing about the show modernizing, but then the biggest laugh was when porky swore. So I guess yeah, in that case it did. But again, it's doing it right which makes it funny. Power to the writers!
