So the cars are only on one side of the tower?

The stats mention 2 gondola's with 8 seats each. So I assume there is also going to be a car on the other side of the tower.

It's honestly indescribable, sooo much fun. And scary lol. I went on Falcon's Fury three times in a row walk-on. It's a relatively cheap and small machine and it's going to be a great addition for Grona. I wish more parks got them.

I wonder how the ride experience compares to those Intamin (Tilting) Stand-up floorless Gyro-drop towers. The freefall feeling always felt a lot more extreme on those versus any other (Gyro) drop towers.

^ Wow that sounds frightening! Feeling wobbly on a standup ride, sometimes, is a no-no thing. + ;)

I think it's more the actual standing position combined to the weight of the gondola:

That's why I'm curious on how it compares to being in a 90?? tilt.

I tried my first one in grona! the trick is (if you're a guy) to properly prepare for a high G-Force Bike Seat with no floor.

^^ Reminds me of the "Thrill Shot" at SFMM, specially when it really gets closer to the ground! :)

Unfortunately the park has lost its building permit for Ikaros similar to how Kolmarden lost their permit for Wildfire. The park has appealed this because the ride will definitely not make any more noise than other rides in the park, since the locals complained about noise again.

Wow. Noise complaint is apparently the most easy way to just slow down themeparks on constructing new rides. I think most people concern more about increasing traffic problems than the actual noise. I know that Gr??na Lund is already quite hard to reach via car due the area being fully parked quickly.

I suspect these are subject to the "loud short man" problem on standups, where mysteriously they're the only ones with issues

^^ That complaint is, I would say, one of our most disappointing things this year!

That's really interesting from an engineering point of view - working in constrained spaces is really difficult to do effectively and safely!

THAT'S WHERE THEY'RE PUTTING IT!?! Man when I was there that little alley didn't seem big enough to widen your arms without slapping someone.

Falcons Fury is absolutely breath taking. Favorite drop tower, no question.

Is this your honest opinion? I'm genuinely curious because I came off of it thinking the exact opposite. It had brake fins running up at least 180 ft of the tower; because it needed to slow down the seats to rotate them back. Personally my favorite drop ride is Demon Drop.
Boulder Dash was the only good roller coaster.

Yes this is my honest opinion. Yes you could feel the brake fin ever so slightly - but the experience past that made up for it.
