Why: To find the correct banking values to eliminate lateral G's, and reduce rotational lateral G's during any banking change.

How: Load the track you need heartlining, enter the settings into the AHG, click on 'Heartline it!' and save the track. If you can be more specific what exactly you need help with, I can give you more detail on certain areas.

Ok, there is really a serious need now. I'm building that track for the tutorial now.

Yes, you can. But only heartline track between brakes and lifts, not the actual brakes or lift.

Heartlining an entire track layout is the same as heartlining a single element.

You can heartline brakes/lifts too like I do now, as long as you do banking by hand (color all segments black) and set a real high entry and exit speed. It isn't necessary though especially if you think the AHG can do a better job than you can at banking.

I tend to have some long segments to. I never used the hearliner until I did "Storm Chaser" and let me say it was a help for me. But yeah, the long segments I have to deal with better. What I did was just split up the segments that would be at the top of hills and color those tracks black. That has helped me alot. I too am trying to get it all sorted. Here are some color codes that helped me.

The Spine Color (main track color in the segment settings) will be read and do the following:

Pure Black (0/0/0): The track will bank to the original bank specified on the input-track.

Pure Green (0/255/0): The Track will go from forced bank (black) to correct bank in a smooth manner along the length of the segment.

Pure Red (255/0/0): The Track will go from correct bank to forced bank (black) in a smooth manner along the length of the segment.

Every time i try and use AHG on a track, it messes up the first drop a lot. It makes this huge mess of track near the top of it. Anybody know how to fix that?

It's probably it trying to compensate for the negative G's on the drop. Colour the spine (Main track colour) pure black everywhere there are any negative G's. That will keep the original banking of the input track.
