Most of you know I have a YouTube channel [https://www.youtube.com/user/Ragebull910] that showcases my rides before they're uploaded here. I've run into a snag though. What I need help with is for someone to use their more powerful computer to record video clips and send them to me. I know it sounds selfish of me to ask but I really need this. I tried resolutions as low as 720p with every scenery object removed and still can't maintain 30FPS resulting in a horrible jitter in the video.

PM me if you're willing to help out.

What are you using to record? in NL2, using the in game recorder is actually quite useful. Have the triple buffer thing on, it'll stutter a LOT in game, but the video will be smooth as air.

Just tried your suggestion with better results. But it's no where near constant 30FPS. My usual recording methods are either Fraps or Elgato Game Capture. Reason my computer can't handle it is because there's a bottle neck between the CPU and GPU due to a PCI-Express x16 (Version 1.0)

Do you also enable Vertical Sync? And keep it at uncompressed AVI? (That's what I usually use in Fraps as well)

Uncompressed AVI might be the reason why you get stutter on playback. It takes up some performance to play a video file like that. Try encoding the video first to mkv or mp4.

The NL video export works fine for me with ultra smooth results and the first system I tested it on was an old AMD with PCIE x16 V1 Nvidia 8800 gt card. The rides couldn't even maintain 10 fps in many cases while just riding in real time but the video is perfect.

No, I meant keep the record format on uncompressed AVI. You're right, it takes more to play it before recoding it to compressed WMV or MP4. but it requires a lot less to record.

Tweaked my settings and rendered a test clip. The video is butter smooth! Thanks Turbo!
