No need to spam update requests like this, c5. I'm sure when there is progress, he's going to post it by himself. :)

Yesterday evening and this morning I've been working on the cabins again. All cabins are in place but they have to much detail... Starting up the park in which the Ferris wheel was placed took about 15 minutes and the file of the wheel expanded from 25MB (with one cabin) to 500MB (with all cabins in place). Soooo... I'll have to do the cabins over again and make them less detailed.

For anyone who wants to know, these are the current cabins which takes 15 minutes to load:

I'm now going to try to create other cabins which won't have round shapes. The standard big Ferris wheel of NoLimits also has cabins without any round shapes. I hope this way the file will be a lot smaller and the Ferris wheel will be loadable in less than 15 minutes. ;)

Can you make them like this?

Then you can walk right into them and they should be easier to make and load faster.

Or make them like this and made the bottom of the cars flat bottomed.

Making the new cabins went faster than expected. :) The wheel now loads in about 5 seconds.

The windows are solid black in the editor and normal clear in the simulator.

Will you make the cabins different colors? Looks great so far!

Being over 175 feet in the air and realizing that the door is still open and has to wait until you are like 180 feet in the air for it to close, is a "bit" dangerous.

Herman, you're an awesome painter, and it's time to make the (static) model into an animated ride! :D

Bonus given to us: Jamp Up Land in the distance and... beautiful mountains covered with snow, too! :D

That is actually Rinku Park in the distance. Jamp Up Land would be far far bigger.

It's possible to change the color of an object through scripting. I've done some test with this but it doesn't work that well (you won't see any shadows on the objects which were colored through scripting). I didn't change this color back to static yet so currently the windows change into the right color when the scripts are loaded.

Yeah I've noticed this too... there still are some bugs in it. Also, if you rotate the Ferris wheel the doors will open on weirder positions...

Thanks! I haven't thought of this but I guess it should be pretty easy to do this.

Will you add stairs from the ground up to a loading platform to get on the wheel?

I took a ride with the walkmode on the wheel a while ago and rode it till my car was at the very top. I watched the long blue jet coaster run that has a little arrow and morgan mixed in it.

And the doors now open pretty realistically and on the right spots. It took a lot more effort to do this than expected but it works!

I love it! Can you edit the wheels speed without breaking the door script?

You can change it to any speed but only 1 cabin can open its door at a time (multiple cabin's can have their doors opened but only 1 cabin can play the door open animation at a time). So when setting the speed too high, the script will break because it has to open multiple doors. But when using these kind of speeds it will be very unrealistic for people to get into the cabins. The script will still continue to work on any speed lower than the current.

The maximum speed at which the doors should be opened and the acceleration/deceleration which the door wil make can also be configured.
