Just give up the LIM launch idea. It's not happening.

^True. Also they said again and again that the ride will be "unique". A water element of some sort fits in with the at sea theme. It can't just be a normal wingrider with a custom layout

The Younger Brother has me wondering.

Well, this ride is going next to the Voyage, right? Maybe this new ride will be themed as the "younger brother" to the Voyage or something like that. How? No idea. Your guess is as good as mine.

I don't think it will be a wing rider for one simple fact, the price is 22 million. I know that's awesome coaster money, but a wing rider cost a couple(not a lot) more than that.

X-Flight was around $12-15 million, plus B&M could have came up with a deal that HW could be the park to have a prototype at a cheaper cost. (LSM)

True but it isn't a prototype anymore, just the thing that makes it unique. So the coaster wouldn't come a much cheaper cost.
Also if it is a wing rider, then it won't have a launch, those trains are HEAVY.
Maybe your right, and its a new Wing Rider prototype, that would be awesome!

Also, wouldn't you hope it isn't a prototype? Aren't most prototypes small coasters compared to the other ones that come later?

I just want to let you know I also hope its a bad ass new wing rider, but i just don't think so.

not really, the lateral g forces would be enormous! remember your basic physics! The farther from the center of rotation, the faster you go!

If it is launched, it will be a sit down looper. Here's my thought with 2 bird clues: it's probably a wing rider, and it's going to have a birds of prey theme/name. Speaking of first of its kind, wouldn't that allow for other elements other than just a launch? Such as a vertical drop? You're falling into the "creationist" fallacy; I don't know what "x" means, so it must be "y". You're forgetting other B&M styles.

Edit: Also, a vertical drop on a wing rider would allow for a peregrine falcon theme, as they're known for diving onto their prey.

^That would be cool but 1. It's gonna be by b&m. 2.The only practical way to get to 400 feet is by hydraulic launch which is patented by Intamin. 3. Both TTD & Kingda Ka cost around $25 million. Still, would be awesome.

I do think the footers being so close together does mean a launched Wingrider which would be AWESOME

Nightwind, I respect your opinion, but a run of the mill Wing Riders, aren't the first of their kind, or unique. There's a straight section which has the characteristics of a launch, there's also very strong evidence that it is a Wing Rider, combining the two to get the projeted guess. I'm not saying it's undoubtedly a launched wing, but it could be possible. I've thought about the other styles of coasters, I'd prefer a sit down launch over Wing/Launch but if B&M wants to blow the roof off the competition, this is the way to go.

See the straight section low to the ground?

The building next to it could also be a machine house for the mechanism.

...or it could be a brake run. B&M is known for using a magnetic brake run before the block brakes.

I been on Gatekeeper at CP, I thought it was awsome! but I wouldn't HOPE for a wingrider over a launch coaster.
Why do you want a Wingrider so much Nick Cage? Have you never been on one?

P.S.: I love how active this topic is!

Yes, I love Gatekeeper, It's in my top 5. That's a really really long break run then ;) I'm fine with anything, other than a flyer.

More likely the station! also see the footers that kinda go in a curve away from the straight section? That could be for the switch track!
