WHOLE PARK recreations on this or any other NoLimits 2 forums?

____________________________

There are some very skilled people on this site, and I bet if a few of y'all came together to really make a detailed recreation of Cedar Point, Cedar Point could use that for a virtual view of their park or something, because it would be so accurate. It would probably have to be 4 parks, though. With how detailed the flat rides are in the recent update, I'd get a little satisfaction just visiting the NL2 park(s) for rides I haven't been on since the last time I've been to Cedar Point. Being that I live in FL now, the trips to Cedar Point are a lot tougher. Lol

I'm not asking for anyone to make one. I just wonder if there are already whole park recreations, and not just Cedar Point. It could be a park I've never been to, which is pretty much every other amusement park .

What would you need to totally recreate an amusement park? It wold probably take 4 years (a year per park file), which is longer than the simulator been out, so for all I know, one COULD be in the works.

I think several people on NLE are/were collaborating on an Alton Towers recreation. I also once downloaded a fairly poor Geauga Lake recreation from Steam.
Other than that, IDK of any "whole park" recreations. I think the reason there aren't many (if any) of those yet is because of how ambitious it would be, unless maybe it was a small park. There's also the fear of how poorly other computers would handle it. Also, the fact that scripted flat rides are preferred and scripting is hard for most people.
Remaking the buildings, theming, and other stuff would also take a while, so even a small park might be hard.

If I knew how to build/3D model/script I would have been all over a Lake Compounce recreation.

Me and another guy on NLE started a CP recreation a while ago. Kinda died out, not sure if he's still willing to work on it but if anyone wants to join up I'm in.

Is it possible to get a link to the thread to check what y'all have done so far?

I'm still trying to grasp the idea of "creating an environment," like one dude said on here. I'm still trying to understand how to even set up a park. I don't even know how to terraform realistically, though I think I might be on to something. But if these parameters weren't in order, I'd love to help out. I, myself, still need practice.

Can't believe I forgot to mention that one. I also saw posts also on NLE about someone wanting to recreate Kings Island.

Although not a recreation, the park TERRA is insanely good, its almost like a custom Universal Studios, Very well Optimized and packed with details.

A link for the new member might be nice so he doesn't have to go looking around for it (even if it's a NLE link, I'll allow it for the sake of helping a new member).

Like I said this died out, so we never got that far.

Looking back through that thread, I don't know how I never noticed the crappyness of most of it.

I'm doing BGW, but it's been on hold for a little bit while I prepare for a big interstate move. I probably won't be back to work on it until the summer, and late summer at that. I should theoretically have a LOT of time to delve into 3ds in the fall though, and hope to have at least the first year (1992) done by the end of 2015. Another user was helping me with 3ds, but I think he's not on as much and working on his own thing, which is no problem because obviously I can't do much right now either. However, what he did so far on the LNM station is SO good, I'd be very happy if he found time to work on it more with me! Also, if any other people with 3d/script experience want to jump on, I'd love to have someone advanced enough to make Drachenfire trains on the project!

Here's a link for the project so far from last fall.

I really can't wait to get back on it, especially in the fall when I'll have LOTS of time to put in on it!

Drachen, I'm still more than happy to continue helping you with the project! I've been very busy recently with college and general life but will have plenty of spare time during the summer :)

There is also a Six Flags Over Georgia recreation by Mac on shyguysworld. Although he has only posted a picture, the level of detail is outstanding. It was the banner of the NL2 facebook a few weeks ago.

How about my jamp up land park? That park has many coasters and rides and other stuff.

I don't think there's a real 'Jamp Up Land' park exactly like that. Pretty sure we're talking about real park recreations.

This makes me want to say "Is this really a program called NL2?" due to realistic stuff.
