I've recently started learning 3D modelling in Sketchup, but how do i import models into NL2? I've saved it to my documents folder, but when i access the folder from inside the NL2 editor it's not there.
Thanks.

Are you switching the second drop down box to "all No Limits models"? It's the last selection at the bottom...

Make sure when looking for the scenery to change the file type to .dae

Ensure that you actually export the model as a .dae file, just saving the sketch up file won't create a workable 3d image.

^ It worked, but it also exported the 2d man. Is there a way to get rid of him in Sketchup?

at least the poster is trying to find ways to make his models work better, unlike your coaster where the NL2 station collides with the 3D model which has many flaws.

I'm more inclined to believe this thread was made because of my coaster, which is why I said it was funny. It's very fishy that the thread starter is asking this question with how many post they have. 15 hundred post suggests an experienced NL user as opposed to someone like you or me.

Just because he's experienced in NL doesn't mean he automatically has the knowledge to use Sketchup in a similar manner. Assuming that just because someone knows one program, they automatically know another is fundamentally flawed logic.

No, don't assume. Have a gut feeling that something might be fishy. Considering both NL and Sketchup been around since 2001, and you could import models into NL from Sketchup and still can till this day for both NL and NL2? There are tutorials and other threads on the topic.

This simulator is a hobby for me. I LOVE creating coasters with NL2. I love riding them afterwards. Scenery, while admired, gets boring after awhile, especially with some of the ironically limited ways to place NL2's scenery in NL2. I get coaster ideas and I want to get right on it. With this being a hobby in mind, my coasters will not be as detailed or "realistic" as expected by the community. I've tried to reach out on here where we could all participate in making people better with the sim, but it went unnoticed. So, I really only have my ideas, which are unrealistic.

Let me say that I love most, no, all figurative ideas, guys! Each to their own! :D

Let's just get this straight:

1500 posts suggests someone who uses the forum a lot. 785 Posts in fun and games furthers this suggestion.

1 Track uploaded in February with a rating of 3.85 suggests new to coaster simulations.

I think it's a pretty genuine question, I've been pm'd similar ones before as this sort of thing is new to people.

I'm reading face values. I didn't look any farther than what the stats say under their name.
