story: so last week i was at a soccer camp, which ran from 9:00am-1:00pm. K so we were scrimiging another team nd i was making a move on the kid nd he stuck his leg out and hit my kneecap(right). There was an intense sharp pain right away nd i iced it 20 minutes on nd twenty minutes off that made the swelling go down. So as the next week went by i realized the pain had gone away. But this week at my summer sports camp i was running nd my knee gave out. So i went to the doctors nd he told me that i could have broken a bone or torn my cartilage in my knee. If i tore my cartilage, i need surgery nd if its a broken bone i need a cast nd poop. The worst part is i have tryouts next week for my highschool team. Nd either way im gonna miss the tryouts nd have to wait till next year.

What is nd? I see you make several mentiones of it but never state what it is. It can't mean "and" since you used that word and wrote it out completely. Clarify what "nd" is.

Its nothing like lol or lmao. Those are entire phrases. You are not on a phone (unless youre mobile...but most arent) so go ahead and type the whole thing out. Id bet I can out-type you even with you deleting a letter or 2 from each short word.

It makes you look and sound intelligent. I have always found shortening simple, small words from 4 or 5 letters to 3 or 4 is just plain idiotic and lame. Also a giant show of laziness.

So yea, just in the interest of the rest of us wanting to read actual words, please type out full words! If you want to acronym phrases...go ahead. LMAO, LOL, ROFLMAO, ROFL, etc. Those are whole phrases.

Th nxt tng u no wel al b typn lk ths.

Might I Suggest you spend your recuperation period learning to spell and use punctuation.

I suggest that you stop capitalizing words in the middle of your sentences.

That sucks. Whatever you do, don't try and rush the recovery. Give it time and you'll come back stronger.

I was kind of in the same boat as you. At the end of May, just as the biking season was getting underway I had a tendon in my thumb rip a chunk of bone out. I was in a fullout cast for 4 weeks and a splint for another 4. It took just over two months to fully recover, but I gave it time and a lot of rest and now my thumb feels great.

Also don't do anything retarded after you are given the clear from your doctor. Last week I got the go ahead to resume regular activities with my hand, so what did I do? I went and smashed my teeth off of a curb hahhaha. pwnt.

last winter during hockey i lacerated my hand and almost lost my middle finger. couldn't use the hand for about a month. Fortunately its not as long as this is.

Assuming you made the team last season, talk to coach, say hey this is what's up, and be like can I come back to the team when I am recovered and work your way into line-up. Coach should allow you to.

And about your spelling, real's got the idea here. Its okay to shorten common phrases like Oh My f**king God to OMFG, but shortening what to wat and and to nd is just ridiculous, even while texting.

Exactly a year from yesterday i fell ten feet, landed on the side of my foot which in turn Highly damaged my ankle. Doctor said i would have been better off if it had broken because it would have healed faster and hurt less. I was in a brace which ran up to my knee for 2 months, and on crutches for a little longer than that. It was the worst pain i have ever felt in my life. And now i have to wear a sports brace for the rest of my life (partially due to previously undiagnosed medical conditions).
And about your spelling, i advise that you work on grammer. Ill admit im not too good with spelling (actually im terriable) but come on "nd" and "wat", please do not use text talk on the forums.
And im sorry about your injury. Hope you have a speedy recovery.

Yeah, I've gotten a broken Humerus bone, split right up the middle, required surgery, got 3 screws inserted. One of them was really bothering me, it was poking out through my skin, so the doctor removed it when my arm was healed enough. Luckily, thanks to a brace, months of physical therapy, and my amazing doctors, my arm is doing great again, and I don't have anything that's being effected from that except for my big pretty pink scar.

etc. is not a whole phrase [:P] it's merely a widely accepted abbreviation as people don't seem to ever want to write et cetera. I know why though, silly French word.

Anyway, your injury could have been worse:

Really really nasty injuries happen in sport a LOT, so just be thankful. I can think of three Football (soccer) players who have died mid game in the last 5 years alone, so... I think you'll live [;)]

Oh yeah, but this is by far the oddest and scariest death on a football pitch I've ever seen:

Although this one is also pretty intense when you see how easily it happened:
