Jazzland is a proposal to reopen Six Flags New Orleans. They have released their master plan for the old park.

From the comments section on the park's Facebook:

- There will be a new entry plaza to the right of where the old one sits.

-The steel structure of Mega Zeph is in great shape. The Gravity Group has inspected it, but at the same time they're "well aware" of RMC's reputation and abilities. Final vendor selections won't be made until later in the process.

-Jester will be salvaged and transformed into "Driskill Mountain"

-Phase 1 will include a new mouse and suspended coaster.

-There is a water park that's not shown

-They'll vote on the plan on February 14th

I'm really happy that Mega Zeph might be able to operate again. Apparently all the track needs to be replaced but the steel structure is fine.

That's like finding a Waffle House with no white trash in it.

New mouse and suspended will probably be family rides, which should work out well. I'm kinda curious to see what they will do with Mega Zeph since having the only main big ride be an RMC might be overkill. They could always move a Deja Vu there or something later down the road.

I'm actually really excited about this because my grandparents live really close to the park...
Ok but how desperate you have to be to voluntarily fly from another country to go to Thorpe?

That would be very good news if it actually gets reopened with Mega Meph. <3

Mega Zeph with anything but the old G-trains would be awesome.

If it's GG I'm betting (hoping) Timberliners.

Yay they'll make a comeback! I do hope to see this "was abandoned" park getting far better than before, like Kentucky Kingdom with some neat coasters!

:D "A ray of hope!" :D
