Mystic Timbers - Kings Island's 2017 GCI POV!

It wouldn't surprise me if redoing the park entrance is in the cards. Does the entrance structure double as an administrative building or is it just a massive pile of bricks because someone thought that looked good at the time?

^The Entrance serves as the main entrance (obviously) and on the second level they have the International Resturaunt which hosts a variey of dinners for paid companies and for events for the employees like award ceremonies.


Also a couple new pics i recently came across. First the new LED light package for scrambler and the new entrance sign (thats not completed yet)

Those dazzling LEDs are, what should I say... um... beautiful!

I'm going to go out on a limb and say this ride will be called Sequoia or Hyperion if it is a Giga!

From the looks of it, i believe this sign is in rivertown. where the funnel cake stand and old White water canyon entrance was. When i was at the park for on ride training, the fence wasnt installed but the "supports" for it was, and i noticed a couple flag markers in the pile of dirt. They havent cleared out anything other than the funnel cake and old WWC entrance. So if anything unless things change, im betting on a new flat ride.


If this sign was anywhere else in the park please let me know!

Lumberjack themed dark ride maybe lol

if it was a dark ride wouldn't you think that they would use the Tomb Raider building for the dark ride? The sign is like on the other side of Rivertown by the Flume ride....

I was at the park today. There is a new entrance road and plaza. The Tropical Plunge structure is complete. I did not take any photos.

What a terrible way to announce the removal of a classic attraction.

There are a lot of trees around where the old WWC entrance is, that are marked for demolition and alot have been cut down...... As i work right next door if I see anything happening with the site i will be sure to keep you guys informed!

Same! And unfortunately, same... I've been to KI a couple times so I didn't take many pictures at all.

What if the new WWC entrance is just temporary and they're removing the ride soon............

also pointed out on TPR, the same caption and picture was used in 2013 when Banshee first started construction................ I think something big is coming for 2017. Giga or GCI, if its a coaster I will be glad to welcome it with open loving arms.

Dang. That's the most promising news so far about this. I really can't picture a giga being there but that would be so sweet.

If it ends up being a giga coaster, I would definitely make a return trip to Kings Island next year, though a GCI or RMC woodie would also be a good fit since the park is lacking a wooden twister.

I seriously doubt Cedar Fair would add a wooden coaster A) to any park at all; or B) to a park that has two (basically three) wooden coasters already.

I'd imagine something towering over that park's "iconic" tower.

I feel strong with the force saying that it might possibly be a coaster.

It would be sweet if they made a giga go over the Eiffel Tower or drop down right beside it. That observation tower is like 320-ish feet too, it would be the perfect height for something like that.
